Mo on a one year deal for $3.2 million, as a non bird free agent would be fine with me. He could be easily traded if he becomes unhappy with his role and it wouldn't impact our flexibility next summer. We'd still have the full MLE to spend on a wing or big man.

It sounds like Mo does a lot to help the team behind the scenes as well.

I just hope we don't give him a full MLE multi year deal out of the gate. That is my worst fear for Blazer free agency.

Really Marion and Ariza are both solid defenders Frye and Carter I agree with

Signing guys to one year deals are a waste. I don't care about flexibility next year. To get that flexibility we would have to renounce Lopez and Wes which I would never do. Use the mle this year for a three year deal and try to lock Mo will up for two to three years with the non bird exception.

Blazers signed Mo late and on the cheap last year . . . makes me wonder if there was a little secret handshake, opt out and we will have the full MLE to play with next summer and take care of you then.

To be honest, I haven't paid much attention to Ariza. But when I remembered him from before, I thought his specialty was defense and the three? Has it changed?

I can't believe Mo Williams is seriously coming back when Chalmers is right there

Fucking Neil is going to waste a whole year

Don't try to reason with it, it's just a bot at this point.

If there was a chance to have chalmers or mo, I would sign chalmers without question. Is it even a possibility?

He's undervalued because of the press the big 3 get

He's been as steady as one can be during the 4-year run

    He's tough
    Good defender
Can make the pass or score
    Shoots the 3 well
Makes big plays in big situations on both sides of the floor

He'd be perfect. A legit 2-way player and not some wild player where you wonder what the hell he's doing (see Mo)

That's exactly what I think too. Chalmers knows how to win games. He's a champion. And he plays within the system and definitely not out of control.

I know he's a free agent. But what's his market price? I mean would he take MLE?

If we waste the mle on mo williams I will be supremely disappointed. I will have lost a lot of respect for neil.

I'm in favor of Chalmers, but he would require most (if not all) of the MLE.

I would love to sign Chalmers for the MLE and then do a sign-and-trade for someone like Ariza.

Veteran, shoots the 3 ball decent, good assists guy .... nope, other than not good defensively I think he is a good choice depending on what he will cost

Honestly, if that's what we're looking for, we might as well just re-sign Mo. They provide essentially the same thing, and Mo is already part of our team.

They're the same age. Nelson has a better assist percentage, but they're very similar. Doesn't seem worth it to me.
