While all true, we would have to cut a player to use both those exceptions if we are resigning Mo without using one. Claver maybe? Like the guy but he is not a great fit with our coach.

With all the SG-types we have it actually needs to be Crabbe but I don't see POR giving up so quick when they gave up 2nds for him.

I'm really hoping we acquire a wing through trade. Ariza would be a great addition. I wonder what he expects to make and what Washington would want in a trade.

As far as I'm concerned those guys aren't better than Chalmers, so no reason to give them minutes over Chalmers

    Will is... Will

CJ is an undersized 2 guard and not that great of a defender

It seems to me that you've written off CJ much too quickly though. I like Chalmers, but come on... he's a role player. He's not a star, and I wouldn't expect him to score much. We still need scoring off our bench, and CJ is a scorer.

Could we resign Mo and still have the MLE?

Yes but it depends on how we go about resigning him.

Yes. We have his early bird rights so cam sign him with a starting salary of something around 3 million I think.

A little higher. But also I think BAE can only be 2 years. I'd have to double check that one though

I think he gets a 20% raise over what he got last year. I hope we got that route but he may balk. If he does, you of course would say move on. POR may not unfortunately. Lets just hope the small raise works for him.

Well, I think everyone knows how much I dislike Mo's game, but if he can be retained without using the MLE or BAE, I say do it. He's an asset. The MLE needs to be used on a difference maker.

Agreed. I actually liked mo on the team, personally. I dint want to use the MLE on him though. Not a good use of assets

I'd really like to see us get Hawes, if we can't get him for the MLE a sign and trade with CLE could work

No, and that's too much. More than he's worth. I think he's worth about that 3 million. I would offer 9 million over three years. That's it.

It just all depends on how much he wants. Either Hawes or Frye would be a great addition to our bench. Hawes might want to start though.

frankly the other PG options are not much better, if better at all, allowing us to use the MLE and BAE elsewhere is a pretty decent option

An LMA/Hawes/Rolo primary rotation I think would giver everyone plenty of minutes
