Melo, LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Pierce. I would take any of those four over anyone else in the NBA with the game on the line. Obviously I'd take Pierce first since I'm a Celtics fan, but if not him I'd probably take Wade. Nothing really sets him apart from the pack, and I can't really explain why, but theres just something about him that the rest of those guys don't have that I've yet to pinpoint.
hmm...Melo, Jamal Crawford, Mike Bibby, Dywane Wade, Dirk, Pierce, Lebron, Vince Carter, Chris Bosh even haha, Tim Duncan, Robert Horry (in playoffs).

I think considering the Spurs win by a decent margin alot of the time, he doesn't have the chance to have as many game winners as some other players. When he gets the last shot in a game though, he makes a decent amount of them. For a big man, I would love for either him or Dirk to have it at the end of games.
I'm taking Melo. A lot of ya'll have seen the numbers from 82games. Melo's stat line from 3 seasons:Game winning FG-11Game Winning FG attempeted-17Field Goal %-64.7%The next best by percentages is Ray Allen who is 8-18 and shoots 44.4%. That's 20.3 percent better. The League Average is at 29.2%. That's 35.5 percent better. I am actually somewhat suprised that Michael Redd, Ray Allen, and Steve Francis are in the top 5 with Melo and Iverson. I know that Redd and Allen shoot a great 3 point shot and everything, but I just didn't think the Bucks and Sonics have been in that many close games. Also, one that doesn't come right to mind until you start thinking about it is Derek Fisher. He is VERY clutch for not being a star player. He in the last 3 years has 6 game winners including the playoffs. He is 6-12 on game winners. Very underated on this. One last thing, Nowitzki has become very clutch as well in close games. He is 7-19on FG and 6-10 on FT. Now his game winning numbers aren't as impressive, but Maverick fans winn agree that Nowitzki is clutch and raises his game in the 4th quarter.
I think you guys are looking too much into Melo. Yeah, he has been great with buzzer beaters, but in 4th quarters he is not amazing. In playoffs he has done nothing, which I also count for clutch. That is why I picked Wade. The most clutch thing he has ever done wasn't a buzzer beater, and not neccasarily a great 4th quarter either....with his team down 0-2 in Finals, and down by 10 in game 3, he put on the cape and went on to average 40PPG through last 4 game sof series, including a few GW's, game saving steal, game winnign assist, and HUGE 4th quarters (all the while Shaq averaging 14PPG and rest of team outside of Walker struggling). He always up's his play in postseason big time, hits a lot of clutch shots/buzzer beaters, and knows when to take over games.
I know that this guy has had some troubles in the past with being clutch, but Lebron James brought his team down from 25 in the 3rd quarter to beat the Celtics the other night. Now I know the C's arent playing to well right now and that Doc is a sh*tty coach, but it is amazing that a player could do that. Now im not saying that he did that all by himself, but he was the one that obviously led his team to victory. That is pretty damn clutch to me. Also, his series against the Wizards last year showed that he is clutch. Whether he traveled or not, he still came through for his team and had 2 game winners....
nitro, it's not easily anyone.I'd say it's between pierce, wade, melo, and arenas. arenas has some huge fourth quarters.
There are a decent amount of players besides kobe that you would be comfortable with if they had the ball in their hands in the 4th quarter in a close game with time running out. Some of the players would be the ones everyone else mentoined like Dwade,Melo, pierce, duncan and more, but since I am a miami heat fan and I've became use to seeing wade hit big shots I would have to chose wade because I'm just so use to seeing him hit big shots in a game.

Melo still needs to it in playoffs. Lebron going up to Arenas and saying whatever he said is burnt into my mind when it comes to Arenas, and he hasn't accomplished much in playoffs. Another one, who no one has mentioned, is AI. Has come up with huge 4th quarters and game winners all throughout his career, always up's his play when team needs be, etc...But when it comes down to it, Wade has done it all throughout his career. He has had some of the biggest 4th quarters you will see, huge in playoff, had one of the greatest Finals performances of the past 20-30 years, hits buzzer beaters/game winners, etc... Outside of Kobe, there is not one player in the league I would trust half as much as I do Wade in the 4th quarter. That is why I say easily, I trust and respect him more than anyone else in the league (except Kobe) to come up big in 4th like I have seen him do time and time again.

LeBron. Who choked at free throw line? Arenas. Arenas is definately a clutch player, remember what he did to Bulls 2 years ago in playoffs? But in terms of clutchness, I'd put Kobe, Wade, Pierce, AI, and maybe a few others over him.
I hate using that Finals thing to say how clutch Dwayne Wade or Kobe Bryant is, because that's often times not fair to the other players on other teams. The other players, they just have not had the oppurtunity, or been on the teams to make it to the finals. That just means that Wade and Bryant had the oppurtunity to showcase their talents on a higher level. You can't really prove that any of the other players wouldn't have performed in the same given circumstances. Furthermore, if you count that, then lets look at how clutch Chauncy Billups has been in the playoffs and finals series that he has been in. You could make a good case for him being a huge clutch player. Lebron James was as clutch as he could be in the first round of the playoffs last year, and for alot of the Pistons series he was as clutch as he could be. He just didn't have the team to make it to the finals, and showcase his talents.
