Damn, I read the thread title and thought it was going to like that Discovery Channel documentary, Life After People. "Blazers after Vince Carter, a franchise left in shambles, devoid of talent and hope. Tonight, on the Discovery Channel."
Actually, I think that if he was on a cheap deal, he could fill in nicely in that Batum role in the first unit of being a quasi-distributor next to Lillard. Lillard would play much better next to him than Mo, and the defense would be a huge step up. This could free up Batum to be a playmaker whenever Dame isn't on the floor. I think we wouldn't need to get Mo as badly with Vince here. It's all about the type of contract he'd be willing to sign. An offseason of adding Vince and Channing Frye while not bringing back Mo would be fine by me. Lillard/CJ Matthews/Barton Batum/Carter Aldridge/Robinson Lopez/Frye /\ honestly if our young guys improve and first unit continues to gel I don't see why that's not a championship contender.
