Name some players that play on talent filled teams and play very well but it goes unoticed because of there star studded teams.Eduardo Najera- His 5 point 5 rebound averages from last season don't jump out of you but he is the type of player you cant judge by stat's. He does all the little things that often get overlooked. He sets the hard pick, dives on the floor for lose balls, plays tough defense, He does those little things that win ball games.I love Eddie!

Two guys this reminds me of are Eric Williams and Walter McCarty. In their time with the Celtics they both weren't the best players, but they weren't liabilities on defense, Eric was pretty tough on the boards and Walter hit some big threes in his time. Both played hard every minute they were on the floor. I wish Celtics would have more vets like them now [IMG]

Like I just posted in the "Most Clutch" thread, I think Derek Fisher is a great player that comes up big in big situations. Not only can he run the team and manage it on the court and setup others, he can score. He is also exceptional on the defensive end. He was a piece of 3 Laker championships. In his career he has everaged 8.6pts, 1.1 stls, and 3.2 ast in only about 25 minutes a game.

yeah I'll be a homer. rajon rondo. his stats won't stick out to anyone, but he's SUCH a heady player. you rarely see him make a bad decision on the court. I can think of one tonight, that he should've shot the ball instead of passing it, but he still got the assist.gomes also, I guess. :winkglasses:

Tonight agaisnt the Magic (even thought the C's lost), he came in with limited playing time and played great. He had a couple key steals, had like 6 assists, and played better defense on a very hot jameer nelson than anybody else could on the team. I love him as a player and he is going to be something special in this leauge. I hope he gets more playing time or could even possibly get a start or two over bassy some this season.

Most NBA fans know he is a great rebounder.Chauncey Billups was an MVP candidate this season. He is not overlooked.

I'll go with the following:-Boris Diaw (Even though he got most improved I think)-Eddie House (When he catches fire, look out)-Zach Randolph (Damn good player who doesn't get enough credit)-Grant Hill (Even though he's never been the same, still a great player)

I can agree with Grant Hill, especially early in this season. Nelson and Howard keep getting alot of attention, but Hill is a huge part of this team. He is the one that scores when the Magic most need a bucket, he is the one that gets the ball and pulls it out when the Magic get sloppy. I'm definately happy with Hill and his veteran leadership this year.

[IMG] But Rondo's stats down jump out at you? When he gets good minutes he fills the stat sheet bro.I'm going to put down Shane Battier. He's SUCH an underrated player it's not even funny. He is very tough, he can play and guard 3 positions, he's strong, he's always in great shape, he's a work horse, he can hit three's, he rebounds, he's a great locker room presence, and he will play any role the coach wants him to. I love Battier, and if he's not an unsung hero, I don't know who is.

This year for my Pistons it looks like it will be the young-gun Jason Maxiell. He is headstrong, comes out with energy, and makes all of the scrappy plays. Those are some of the reasons why I like his future for the Pistons.

Jason Collins. He plays very good defense and a descent rebounder. He is often put down because he isnt that good on defense, but with the starting 4 on the Nets, you dont need to score.

I think Troy Murphy (partially because his contract) gets underrated a lot. Not a lot of guys are dependable for double/doubles like he is. Though Nellie-ball might screw that up...

not to mention he's a sick rebounder. kind of a punk tho. I remember what he did to wade a year ago (or was it two?).
