Sam Amick @sam_amick 42s Luol Deng is right there in the popularity contest: I'm told Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, Lakers, Clippers and Chicago have registered interest.
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 4m Clippers, I'm told, believe they have real chance of stealing Paul Pierce away from Nets now that Jason Kidd no longer coaching in Brooklyn
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 1m Teams won't do much until big names like LeBron, Carmelo, Bosh, etc. are off market. They'll wait for them, holding out hope of luring one.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA · now Portland GM Neil Olshey met with free agent Spencer Hawes and his agent, Greg Lawrence, tonight in Los Angeles, sources tell Yahoo.
Where are the reports of GMs on their knees at the prospect's front doorstep, like the last two July 1s?
He must dream of a Hawes/Leonard frontcourt if Aldridge leaves. Such a meh get. Depends on the price I guess.
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 52s The Miami Heat have expressed interest in restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas. That'd be a very interesting landing spot for the Kings FA.
Yes and no. If teams sense they are a long shot with those top options they'll try to lock up a Lowry/Deng/Lance level free agent if they can.
I'm totally on board with Hawes. I think he's perfect for Stotts' system, and still young at 26 (I think.)
One is an offensive weapon, the other is a shot blocker and rebounder. I don't think they're going to get rid of Rolo.
Much better shooter. I'd say slightly worse overall, but still would by far be our best bench player.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 2m There's serious market for Hawes' ability to shoot and stretch floor, beginning with Cavs who are determined to keep him. Perfect for Blatt.
@ESPNSteinLine: Blazers, Grizzlies, Bulls, Mavericks, Rockets ... teams I'm told called tonight to register interest in Brooklyn's Paul Pierce BESIDES Clips Were going after Paul pierce? Oh shit, savvy vet for Rookies to learn from
