Had a great day with the fam. Hitting up Venice Beach tomorrow and Disneyland the next. Trying to stay up on the free agency while spending quality time down here. Would live to get Mo and Channing Frye back, and man would Greg Monroe help us out!

Hey what about a family place down there for us to watch the soccer game?

    Uhh....

You should probably go to the 3rd Street Promenade.

Most places will probably be small sports bars and/or super crowded in Venice and Santa Monica.

Your best bet is probably Hooters on the 3rd Street Promenade which has a ton of big screens everywhere. There are a few other restaurants there as well, your best bet is on the top floor of the mall structure, but I'm not sure how they'll be. Barney's Beanery is on the promenade and has huge TVs on the walls, but it might be hard to sit (its around the corner from hooters). Loteria Grill is an upscale mexican restaurant that has a big TV and they have a bunch of soccer flags and shit, its right next to the Adidas store on the Promenade.

Yardhouse in Marina Del Rey might be ok, the TVs aren't that big there from what I recall though but its a pretty big space and easy parking.

I remember you said you were at the Custom Hotel I think near the Airport in the past? If not its on the corner of Lincoln and Manchester. There's a mexican restaurant across the street called "Cinco" that has some pretty big TVs. Not sure if they'll be open for the game, but they might be and it'll probably be more low key there. You should probably call.

There's a big get together in the South Bay (Hermosa/Redondo) I think its in Redondo, the last one had a shitload of people there.

If I were you I would probably go to Venice Beach after the soccer match. It's probably going to be cloudy and overcast all morning and it will burn off in the afternoon and probably get better.

We ended up staying in a cool modern hotel in Studio City called BLVD...... Woke up and went to the Hollywood Hard Rock Cafe. They had this private room called Snoop's Coupe they were using for people to watch the game. It was perfect. By the time the game was over all we ended up doing was heading up to Griffith Observatory. Disneyland is tomorrow!

If you're way out at the observatory, might as well go to Hollywood Bowl and Forest Lawn Cemetery. And visit a couple of Olde Hispanic Missions, where Spanish missionaries turned suckers into slaves. And the Hollywood Wax Museum. And Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose. Oh yeah, they moved it to Oregon after I saw it. And the Nixon Library. Man I'm starting to remember all this stuff.

Oh yeah and drive way out to Colton and see the crappy little cemetery where Wyatt Earp is buried. I think I was the only tourist that day.
