has gotten a little out of hand for me concerning the Ducks and recruiting this year. Everybody freaked out about not getting Murray, then hoped for a flip by Stidham and we were sure about Barnett, and now all eyes are on Waller right? What we Ducks have truly forgotten is our guy Morgan Mahalak who just got on campus in the last two weeks. This is our exhale guy! He's the same height as Marcus, has good speed, throws a tight ball and oh yeah he hasn't even played two years of high school football yet.... Sound like someone else we know? One thing that Marcus didn't get that Morgan has received is pro mentoring already. Marcus as you remember wasn't good enough for those "ELITE" camps as a lonely 3* guy! HAHAHA! I would say to you that Morgan will be a combo between Harrington and Mariota. This kid beams personality and is a hell of a recruiter to boot. He's a northern California kid and that's a hot bed for great QB's. Let's also throw into this equation that Morgan wanted to be a Duck from the get go and never waivered! When Marcus leaves after tutoring Morgan for a year he will hand this kid the keys to a flipping Ferrari on offense. Morgan will have Bralon, Stanford, 2 Browns, Allen, Carrington and Ofodile coming in to toss the ball to! Even an average QB with just a decent arm will find this an embarrassment of riches. Of course even if Morgan's arm doesn't work, and he forgets how to run he has Tyner, Rolls Royce and Taj coming in. To be honest we could run a hell of a triple option with just those three guys alone! With what Oregon has in skilled position players coming in Morgan will look like a ROCK STAR! Honestly I didn't think QB was that big a deal this year with Morgan arriving. I think we Ducks need to remember how good we have it already! As for todays big announcement, if Waller chooses Oregon this is a kid that you know WANTED TO BE HERE!!! Much like Mahalak. Oregon flirted with Waller and never gave him an offer till it was clear we'd exercised every other option out there. Karma may come back and bite our feathery butts on this and it would serve us right. He was ours for the taking from the get go! That said if he chooses to Quack, I have a feeling this could be a smarter version of Daron Thomas on steroids. He could be a 5 star kid before the end of next year. He's got a lot of 8's and 9's in areas that count. Either way it goes Oregon will be fine offensively for the foreseeable future especially with the kind of line Greatwood is assembling to block for these kids!
