This seemed to be our # 1 target. I can live with 4.5 per. Would have liked 4 per, but while I liked Fayne, I would rather have Boyle for 1 mill more and for two less years.

Finally we have a PP QB and a shot from the BL. Him and McDonagh will be a nice PP duo on the BL.

PP will definitely get a boost, but this board will be ALL over him for his play in his own zone.

The PK took a hit as well, looks like Stralman's minutes there will go to Klein

Agreed Prod. Just seemed like the way we were going to go was Boyle. He seemed to be our # 1 D target. I guess they saw Richards gone, we need a PP QB, and we haven't had a dman with a shot in a long time. Decided to fix that.

Where is our size on D though. That will be an issue.

    Staal and Boyle # 2 D pair I guess.

i dont really see size as an issue with the Rangers D corps. Sure they played like shyt against the Kings but Klein is always moveable

I like the Boyle signing. He actually fills a big need here. Yes he is old but if he was 30 he would cost $6.5m a year

Nice move for a few years, the pp really needs this.

Solid move and the 2yr deal makes him an easy trading asset if needed.

Also means we are putting a lot of faith in Klein to play a pretty strong role on D. I think Sather and AV believe he can play top 4 minutes as well.

    Pierre LeBrun

Dan Boyle left a lot of money on the table elsewhere, really wanted to be with Rangers

    Funny.

I think the Boyle and Ehrhoff signings look solid. At 4.5 per not terrible for Boyle, even if I would have liked 4 per better.

Love hearing that! Pretty happy with this signing, needed a pp commander, hopefully he will show ryan a thing or two on how to have yourself ready for a pass to shoot off it

I like that PP point duo. We SHOULD have a good PP now with Kreider in front.

    Detroit offered Boyle 2/10 too

The only bad thing is Sather gave him a NTC

So 1 mill less with a NTC. I don't mind the NTC really. Only two years. How much damage can he cause cap wise.

I really like it too Chuck

Hopefully Boyle isn't Sandis Bozolinch or Bryan McCabe Part III
