Fuck that ref. No way it was only 1 minute. Esp after giving them 2 minutes in the first half,w here there was no time wasting. Probably wouldn't have mattered, but still.

Great effort by our team. Other than Zusi, I don't think anyone had a bad game. Our "bad" defense is more Belgium's great offense.

Hey guys remember the joy, agony, and excitement you have for the World Cup... take that to a local level (wherever you are). US has the athletes, they just need to grow up with the game at a grassroots level. Thats what is setting US apart from the other "Footballing Countries" is the skill.

Support local soccer which feeds the National Team, and in turn hopefully leads to less heartache. Man oh man I love this game!

I was thinking more of the starters + Yedlin. But yeah, Wondo is a poacher. If he can't finish, he's worthless (like he has been for nearly every US game except for in the Gold Cup).

I wish Jozy never had gotten hurt. I have to think he would've changed a lot of things for us.

What a fucking great game. US Goalie is a stud, can we get him to back up Lopez?

Did you read the article from about a month back about Belgium's youth set up? It was a really in depth look at how their coach totally revamped their system. Obviously, it's paying dividends now. Due to the size of the US, it isn't really replicable, but hopefully Klinsmann looks at some of the pros from their system and tries to implement it here. One thing that has to change is pay to play. I know it is getting better with he MLS youth teams, so that gives me some hope.

What Lukaku did when he came in is what Klinsmann wanted Jozy to do. Sucks we never got to see him even try. It totally changed our team.

Good. now people can go back to being real... and hating soccer. it was humorous hearing the media fake liking soccer because the higher ups forced them to force feed people into thinking soccer is an okay sport. it will now go back into oblivion.

the media is so stupid. glad i stopped listening to them years ago.

Oh, gotta give a shout out to Beasley. After South Africa, I figured he was done. Instead he switched positions and ended up one of the most consistent players for us. Playing in Mexico really revived his career.

Yeah, not so much. Pretty damned good, but I'll take the NCAA tourney seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

NCAA tourney is only good for the first couple rounds. Once the Cinderellas are gone and we are stuck with Kentucky vs UCLA I get turned off personally.

World Cup you're at least seeing the best players in the world. Ncaa basketball is like if the world cup consisted of mls teams only.

This world cup TV numbers showed that the interest is there. Timbers fans and Sounders fans (even if you all hate them *cough*Wheels*cough*) show that there is interest. ESPN's main analyst and all of the more local media around the country are just too slow to react. Their commentary strategy is just to spout cliches (yelling gooooool, etc). I would say that might change, but with ESPN losing the WC rights, I doubt they spend much time learning the game (or even reporting it).

The EPL isn't my favorite league, but I think it is the easiest for Americans to get into. For the most part, they despise diving, love physical play and play at a extremely high pace. Plus, if you get NBC Sports, you can watch every game live, either on NBC, NBC Sports or streaming (or on the last day of the season, on CNBC, MSNBC, USA, etc).
