sometimes all it takes is that one bit of fuel to start a wildfire. I always had been around Soccer growing up in Mexican household (aside from my white mom haha) but in 2009 I was convinced to attend a Timbers match. I've been absolutely in love ever since! Come check out PTFC sometime, you wont be sorry!
GolTV I think which sucks cause cant really get that easily. Which sucks, Bundesliga would probably be the most fun for me to watch.
I missed that article. But yeah size of US Athlete is the difference. I really want everything structured like Germany (before Klinnsman even) they are the only similar Athlete IMO. Youth system in America is still a ways off, but thankfully they are starting to realize that its the lifeblood of the National team, and its foundation of Domestic leagues.
My biggest problems with soccer is when people say things like 'set piece' and "Belgium are' and 'nil' and 'Brazilian side' with an American accent. Sounds so fucking pretentious...
Damn, Dish doesn't get that channel :/ I wanted to watch Bayern... I REALLY like Muller and they have Green so I'd like to see him grow and blossom.
People in Belgium are laughing at your TV set, piece of crap that it is. On the Brazilian side of the Atlantic, people think Nilla Wafers are tasty. barfo
goltb is bein now, and they dont cover the bundesliga. only la liga, seria a and some of the championship
No, Bein isn't GolTV. They just out bid them on some of the leagues, most importantly La Liga, GolTV once had. And because of that, GolTV is dying. Not sure who owns GolTV, but BeIn is Al Jazeera.
I think a lot of companies have dropped them. I know for Cox down here in San Diego, it's only available in the Spanish language package. And you only get the Spanish version of the channel. They really should either somehow get on more cable companies, do some sort of online subscription that doesn't require cable or just give up and sell the rights to BeIn, ESPN, Fox or NBC.
ah okay. thats why i thought they merged. not to mention it seems like they have the same presentation (beIN and goltv)

Case in point regarding the media/ESPN's lagging when it comes to good soccer coverage. Here is an article (it might be fixed by the time anyone clicks the link) where they talk about Howard passing the torch to our backup (and nearly as good) goalie, Brad Duzan. http://www.espnfc.com/league-name/story/1928812/headline Once is a typo. Twice is not knowing who the guy is. This is like Travis Outlaw having Bo Outlaw's picture for half a season, except Guzan is one of the best goalies in the EPL who only isn't a regular with the USMNT because he's behind one of the best goalies in the world.
Holy crap!! I thought Guzan was 35 like Howard for some reason. Maybe was getting mixed up with Hannehman or something (even though hes older) Good to know of a good GK to take over, even though Howard obviously still has it. Wonder if they think they have a guy for down the road beyond that even, like hoping Hamid or Johnson grow to a really high level.
I know there are some young guys out there that are pretty good. I can't remember their names, but it wasn't Johnson or Hamid. If Guzan played this WC, I don't think we would have seen much of a drop off. He's nearly as good as Howard. Plus, he's bald, so you know that means good things for a USMNT goalie!
yeah I'm struggling to think of any other young names other than those two. I'll see what I can find. Cause its gonna bug me all day if I dont lol
