Tampa channel Bay News Nine over the local team sweeping the Yankees in their own park.

Reminds me of an old Folk Tune covered by Ry Cooder - "How can a poor man stand such times and live"....!

I'd be going ape shit, maybe tear the radio out of my truck, or switch to Sirius Satellite Radio....maybe call in a few bomb threats to the Station...(J/K), or call in a B2 low fly by......hehe....I hear ya' Michael, I used to get utterly pissed off at the local news, radio, and mostly papers, when the Halos were a contending Team, and always had their games printed on Page 4, of the Sports Section, while the f'n Bums were splattered all over the front page of both the Sports Section and Main Pages, ...... even when they went on a losing streak.

Call it Lasorda sucking on the Times Editors twinkie....!!! With Marinara on it....!

Anyone recall when Lasorda got a wise idea to buy a canning plant, and made his own brand of Marinara, then had it shut down due to Rat Shit in the Plant, right where the sauce was made, infested with rat shit....no shit....true story....(His factory was down in L.A. and I never tried his Sauce, as much as I love Marinara).

The thing that really gets me is that this is the God Damn Yankees, top of the hill king of the heap getting their ass kicked with all that ability aboard. Watching the River Avenue Videos id the same old bullshit like Beltran saying he didn't know why the team wasn't hitting, or the pitchers saying well I was doing well and one got away from me blah, blah, we need to do this or that. Lately when this team takes the field l the first song that comes to my mind is the Judy Collins version of "Send In The Clowns"

I really question that this team has "all that ability", let alone pride.
Yes, "Send In the Clowns" is .....on point.

Anyone ever seen the movie "The Last Polka"???

Never released to video, a HBO Production, approx. 1982. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

John Candy and Eugene Levy, as the Schmenge Brothers. Got their starts playing duo accordions, during Bowling For Dollars TV shows. They'd begin to play right when a bowler released the ball, gutterrrrrr every time...

Horn rimmed glasses, and those gawdy early 70s suits, with huge lapels....!

The Last Polka, or Judy Collins, I'll take either one.

Loved Judy Collins, one of my favorites, "We Always Cook With Honey"...!!!
