Will there ever be another real NBA dynasty? It's a lot harder now to do it then ever before. Their are 30 teams in the league, Talent is spread out pretty well. Their are not too many 'bad' teams in the NBA anymore. It's hard to imagine how times were back during the Celtics 8 straight NBA title run. Their were only 9 teams in the ENTIRE league. You have a 1-9 chance to win an NBA title compared to 1-30 today.
Well, Amare is back so... :shifty2: It's pretty much impossible to predict. There are teams loaded with young talent but there's a good chance that they turn into busts or ownership screws up. You really can't guess it but I am sure that there will be a great duo or trio who will begin a dynasty soon...
If the Spurs win it this year, they will have won it like 4 times within 8 or 9 years or something like that. I would somewhat consider that a dynasty. I guess it kinda depends on your definition of a dynasty.
I would be surprised to see another dynasty within the next decade. just look around the league, how many pushovers are there? no many. you won't see one team dominating anymore.
I agree with Ballerman, although the spurs haven't won consecutive titles they basically been a dynasty over the last few years. They always basically had the best record and go far in the playoffs and if they win it all this year, I think we should start thinking of them as a modern age dynasty.
I would like to introduce yall to the 06,'07 raptors applying for the first dynasty in a long time: :happy0144:
I'd rather not have a dynasty any time soon... Unless it's the New Jersey Nets, of course. But, anyway, without a dynasty, there have been three different champions the past three seasons. That's a good sign. It gets boring seeing the same team win the championship every season. It really does... But, anyway, if there is a dynasty developing currently, I'll have to give it up for the Toronto Raptors. They may not seem all that great right now, but I can see them in a couple of seasons with all their young talent bringing them a couple of titles. :no3:
