Jason Maxiell waived Friday In an expected move that makes the Orlando Magic even younger, the team waived 31-year-old power forward Jason Maxiell on Friday. Maxiell’s salary of $2.5 million for the 2014-15 season was fully unguaranteed if the team (or a team that had acquired him via trade) had waived him on or before July 10.
