You never know, maybe this will put everything in perspective and eventually turn into a good thing..maybe he'll find a better job where he'll earn more and be better appreciated.Take out a loan, use his experience to start his own carpet place and steal all of this dudes customers !

This sucks, This has never happend to me so I can't tell how you feel. Everything happens for a reason, It might lead to your dad getting a better job... who knows.

He'll earn some money from him until he can find a job. There has to be some kind of 2 week notice and a good reason for the firing. Like mass layoffs, or theft, or something to that degree. If there isn't, your father has the right to file on him with the unemployment agengy and get a check from him weekly until he finds a job. I know this because my father owns a business. If my father fires a guy for something, he has to give a notice or a really good reason why. If there isnt the guy can file on him. Hope your father finds another job soon.
Well I don' t think getting a notice matters. The fact that he was fired, and it had nothing to do with his working ability..he should no doubt be able to receive unemployment..for somewhere around a year, possibly 2 if hes worked there as long as you said he did...or until he finds a new job.he could file tomorrow and begin earning ASAP...sure he knows that tho.

Down here, the government would provide for you're family. Also, they are schemes down here which make sure you can go to university.Anyways, man that must suck. I swear it was the first time someome on a message board has given a personal story and I've actually gotten sad/happy over it.
