Re: Official "Police Searched My Crib Today..." Thread

<span style="font-family:Tahoma">Okay, I've decided to just tell the story for those of you who would actually have interest in it. Now, I don't care whether or not any of you believe me. It's just horrible what had occurred today. It's a long story, so sit back, relax and read:Today, my brother and a grip of his friends (about 6 or 7 dukes he chills with at lunch time) were making racist jokes about one another. I'm Pakistani, which isn't Middle Eastern for those of you who believe it is. It's actually Southern Asian. Anywho, my brother eventually got carried away and decided to write a threatening terrorist letter about how he supports al-Qaida (sp?), the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, and wants all Americans to kill themselves before he does it for them. My brother and his friends began fu*kin' around, walking up to random people and taking turns to read the letter aloud. Eventually, they came over to me and read it. It was pretty funny, but I knew my brother could get in serious trouble for writing it, so I told him to throw it away. His friends told him not to, though. After a while, one of his friends read it aloud to someone and a campus supervisor (in other words, school security guard) happened to hear the letter. He asked my brother's friend, "Who wrote that letter?" My bro's friend pointed at my brother... fu*kin' snitch, huh?The campus supervisor took the paper and told my brother to follow him. I wasn't there when he was sent to the office. I was told about it by Aziel (yes, Azzy. She was hanging out with my brother at the moment). I thought it wasn't going to be all that serious. After lunch, I went to Psychology class like normal and then went to my science class. When science class was about to end, I was about to leave the room, but my cell phone went off. I answered it and it was my dad. He sounded frantic; he told me, "Omar! Go to the office right now! They've called the cops on your brother!" In total shock (since I already knew what the incident was), I dropped my cell phone. Fellow classmates began asking me what happened, but I just picked my cell phone back up and ran to the office before class officially ended. When I got to the office, there was a police officer there. He told me to follow him and went into the office first. I guess he knew I was coming... I don't know how. Maybe my dad told the principal or something, I guess. :dunno: I was about to enter the principal's office, where the cop went into, but the school secretary stopped me. She knows me personally, by the way. Mrs. Hall (that's the secretary's name) told me that it'd be wise if I didn't go in. I replied, "It'd be wise if I died right now, too, but not everything can work, now can it?" She laughed, but it was a nervous laugh. When I entered the office, my bro was wiping tears away from his eyes. My brother and I have a strong bond. We never see one another shed tears. However, seeing my brother trying to hide his tears, I began bawling, too. The principal offered me tissue, but I rejected the offer. The officer told my brother his "rights". He said, "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." I suddenly had a hysterical sensation run into me because I thought my brother was going to juvenile hall or something for writing such a threatening letter. I stood up and began shouting, "NOOOOO! NOOOO! F*ck THAT! NOOOO! NOOO!" My shouts were loud, too... The school dean ran into the office and grabbed a hold of me. He kept shouting, "Refrain yourself! Refrain yourself!"I calmed down a bit, but was still in a state of shock. The police officer asked, "May I see you outside alone, please?" I nodded my head, but was unable to move. Suddenly, my dad opened the door and walked in. He had tears in his eyes, too. He told me, "Your mom is on her way, too." I began crying again, but I wasn't making those "uhhh... huhhh..." noises that people make when they usually cry. The police officer spoke to my dad, myself and my brother briefly about how he'd have to search our house for bombs or whatnot. My dad said that it'd be best if the cop did search our house for supposed bombs. I asked him, after getting my composure back, "Don't you need a warrant for that?" The cop replied, "I'm doing it with permission." I felt pretty stupid at the moment... :blink:Finally, my mom came in. She was teary-eyed and when she saw my dad bawling, she began crying, too. The cop told us that my brother could go to jail for such a threatening letter. He gave me the letter to read, but I said, "I've already read it." My dad said, "Just read it, Omar. What does it say?" I read it aloud and my mom began crying again. [IMG]I told the cop, "But... Anyone with half a mind could tell that my brother was joking. C'mon, b. You should know better than me." The cop responded with a 'uh-huh' grunt and then added, "Well, that doesn't mean that this ought to be ignored." I suddenly thought of something. I said:<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">If a white kid did what my brother did, you guys wouldn't have done sh*t! Because my brother is Pakistani, all of a sudden, this is a serious matter, huh?</span>The cop began denying what I said, but then there was an awkward silence. I guess it was sinking in on everyone. The cop asked me if he could see me alone now that I was calm. We went outside the office and he asked, "Mind if I ask questions about your brother?" He asked me why my brother was trying to kill non-Muslims. I responded by telling him that nothing on the letter indicated that my brother was a Muslim. The cop smiled a shy smile like he felt stupid or like I had just figured out something he had known for a while. Then he asked whether or not my brother had weapons at home. Before I could answer, he said, "Now, I don't want a dumb answer, like: "Yeah, he has kitchen knives." I want a straight up answer, okay? Does he have lethal weapons?" I replied with a simple 'no' and we went back in the office. My dad asked, "I seriously don't see how this is all that serious... What's wrong? He was joking..." Then he turned to my brother and asked, "Weren't you son?" My brother nodded. He was still upset, I guess. The principal replied,<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">"It's not because of the letter that we're all making it a big deal, but because of what he wrote on the letter."</span>That was just stupid! I began laughing and told him that that didn't make sense. The police officer asked my dad if he could search the house. My dad replied, "I already granted you permission." So, the cop and my dad left to my house in search for weapons of mass destruction. My mom checked my brother and myself out of school for the rest of the day. There was only about 30 minutes of school left anyway, so her actions were confusing to me.My mom sped to my house and we were afraid when we got to my house because some of our neighbors were outside. It's a new neighborhood, so something like this surprised everyone. They were nosy, too! I went in first and my mom and brother followed. The cop was already done searching the bottom floor. He went up to my room first and he saw a Dwyane Wade poster among all the New Jersey Nets/Lakers'/MJ posters. He asked, "Heat fan?" I responded, "Just a die-hard basketball fan." He went over to my brother's room and searched every nook and cranny. He found nothing. After a bit, he asked, "This is a huge house... How much did it cost?" Anyone could tell he was trying to calm us down. After about 40 minutes or so, the officer left. However, before leaving, he spoke to me privately again. This was our conversation (officer is bold; I'm <strike>this</strike>):</span><span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">Does your father beat you?<strike>Not at all, sir. What does that have to do with this incident?</strike>In case he does decide to hit you or your brother, here is my card. Call me, okay?<strike>Duke, I assure you: My pops will not hit me...</strike>You never know, though. Last time I busted a kid for marijuana, right? His father beat his ass that night and the kid came to school black-and-blue. I don't want you two to face the same case, ya know?<strike>I respect your concern, b, but nothing is going to happen. Just do as you do, man. I'll do me, okay? Fair?</strike></span><span style="font-family:Tahoma">He then left and my dad got his own mom, so she could comfort my mom. My dad fell asleep... While sitting up straight on a chair. He has the tendency to do that a lot when he's having a really bad day. My grandmother, instead of showing empathy toward my mom, began cussing at her, shouting, "That's what you get for raising such a horrible child!" I couldn't take it anymore and threw a fu*kin' pillow at her. It hit her on the head and she tried waking my dad up, but I grabbed her arm and said, "Now you listen to me! I can break every fu*kin' bone in your body and tell the police that you died of old age!" She became quiet and when my dad woke up, which was just a few hours ago, he took her back to her respective house.Basically, this sums up the <u>WORST DAY EVER</u> threads.</span>

It seems like your brother brought this upon himself. That is the most idiotic idea I have ever heard...writing a fake letter about how he supports Al-Qaida and Osama and reading it out loud to random people....no offense...but is your brother stupid?
