I think they'd be just fine with Beverly, with harden and bosh's ability to initiate offense and ability to run offense through Dwight. Don't need a true point.

I'm sure ownership will give him first access to the Junior Rockets Dancers to keep quiet about his basketball woes.

We know Mo is not a good defender but look at the kid's numbers after Mo mouthed off.

Re: OT: LaBron to the Cavs

But what it all boils down to is they still won't play defense. Bosh will make them better but we can beat them as long as we are better defenders. Which we should be...

Re: OT: LaBron to the Cavs

Howard and Beverley are both excellent defenders and Bosh is a good one. Houston was a significantly better defensive team than Portland last season during the regular season. I wouldn't take the playoff series as evidence that they suck at defense...IMO, it was more Portland playing blazingly good offense in that series. Harden has become essentially worthless on the defensive end but, especially if they bring back Parsons in addition to signing Bosh, I'd expect Houston to be a pretty good defensive team overall.

Portland really hasn't upped their defensive level much. Kaman has good and bad years, defensively, but as a reserve he's unlikely to hugely impact the team's defense.

Not sure where this is coming from? HOU is as good or better then us at D (might not be saying much) and Bosh is good himself. He is going to make them better. I pray, for some reason, they get Melo instead.

Re: OT: LaBron to the Cavs

I think Houston's lack off success has to do with putting too much on harden. Yes pat bev and Howard offer good defense, but they can't match vs portland with harden being as bad a defender as he is.

There's also no way they can keep parsons if they get bosh. They would be smart to let parsons walk imo, I don't think he's worth a max contract, and he will get one.

I just wasn't to know why no one has offered it to him yet...

How much would it be to be a Cavs right now with all rumors swirling?...I remember when it used to be like that around here! :)

Man... if the Cavs get LeBron AND Love, that's going to be a really good team, and still very young.

    Irving/??
    Waiters/??
    LeBron/Bennett?
    Love/Thompson
    Varejao/??

They'd have a really good core, but their bench would suck.

Is it that much better than what he'd have in Miami? One ing he gets in Miami is team mates he's already won with...going to be interesting week what he does. I think it makes the most sense to stay in Miami and that's what he will do.

Klove to cle is good for the league regardless of where lebron goes.

Which could be why he was recruiting Miller and Jones.

    Hope he goes back

Much better than Miami long term.

    Irving > Wade
    Love > Bosh

Wade is pretty much a shadow of himself, and it's only going to get worse. Irving is just starting to realize his talent. He's still insanely young. Love is also very young. He'll be 26 in September.

Personally I think LeBron gets way too much press on every sports site in the universe so I could care less where he goes in the east. Like to see these type threads get merged with around the NBA or FA threads but not a headline thread on the Blazers forum. Just my 2 cents. The guy hasn't shown a lot of fan loyalty so far in his career.

And how dumb would you have to be to believe someone that hot headed?

I knew someone would say that... LeBron is getting max money wherever he goes. That's of no consequence to the question of how he can play for someone who lambasted him like Gilbert did.

If LeBron ends up a Cav, I think it's with an ownership stake. (Is that even possible?)

Mam, if he decides to go back to the Heat, the Cavs are going to be screwed....again.

I think the reason why it's so important is because he has to be the first domino to fall. So many teams and players are waiting for him to decide what he's going to do. If he leaves Miami, so does Bosh, and then Melo might sign somewhere else. As soon as he makes a decision, I think there will be a flurry of moves in reaction to whatever he decides to do.
