So next year it looks like the salaries are approx:

    Dwight Howard: $21m
    James Harden: $15m
    Chandler Parsons: $15m
    Chris Bosh: about $22m?

So that's around 73 million for 4 guys, and what's the salary cap this year? I almost want them to invest that much into these 4 guys. I don't see a Kobe or Lebron among them. I see this not working. I think they'd be a good regular season team, but not much else.

I would definitely take Jones, but I don't know about Lin.

I'm not sure Omer+Lin+Montejeunas is close to the $20M+ they need to get him his MAX contract per report.

I never knew they had the space either. It seems David Aldridge is 100% sure they have cap room. I'm basically taking his word for it

I saw him say a lot of wrong things on draft night.

They're going to let Parsons walk, I think.

seems to almost add up to working in my head

    dho 21.4
    harden 14.7
    jones 1.6
    beverly .9
    Isaiah Canaan .8
parsons cap hold (250% or 300% of last years salary?) so 2.25 or 2.7 ish?
i think there are roster spot cap holds of the minimum slaray as well up to 12 players...not sure how they would apply here though

thats around 42, im assuming they would deal jones/canaan if they needed to get lower though

Sham has them at $61M without options. Subtract $16.6M for Asik and Lin. Add $1.75M for Parsons. Another $3.5M in cap holds to bring the roster to 13.

Looks like 49.65M to me, or $13.35M in cap space for Bosh.

That's not exercising every team option possible, including letting Beverly go. I don't see where they come up with another $6.5M.

    $61M for
Howard, Harden, Asik, Lin, Jones, Motiejunas, and Canaan.

    He has $67M for

Total salary inc. cap holds, without options:$67,731,253(Total salary if all options are declined, including cap holds.)

    $5.8M in cap holds. $67M - $5.8M = $61.2M.

Add $1.76M for Parsons, subtract $16.6M for Omer and Lin. Add back $1M for empty roster spots.

$47.36M. Roughly $15.7M in cap space. They need more than $20M to MAX Bosh.

Jones, Motiejunas, and Canaan for cap space gets them $1.5M more in holds and cuts $3.8M.

So $18M seems to be all they can do without dumping Parsons. That would get them to $19.26M to start.

If Miami would facilitate a S&T, there's no problem.

not sure about this sham sports, but like i said, garcia opting out, non guaranteed guys...not sure if thats in their totals

this is assuming they trade lin, motejeunas, and canaan for cap space

    dho 21.4
    harden 14.7
    jones 1.6
    beverly .9
parsons at what 1.76 you keep saying? thought it was more, around 300% of his previous year, so 2.7ish

thats 39.3ish, add 3.5 million for 7 500k minimum roster holds, thats 42.8, give or take

If Parsons signs a $15M offer with the Mavs, his cap hit for three days is $15M. Game over.

With that hold in place, they can't sign Bosh, period. If they match, they won't have the cap space as well.

They have to let Parsons walk to sign Bosh.

ill actually be kinda shocked if parsons signs the offer sheet at 12:01, it really seemed he was in on the whole plan. i guess all houston has to do is offer him the same thing though, and just have him not sign the dallas offer, and wait to sign the houston offer

If he signs the Mavs' offer, he wants to play for the Mavs.

    http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story...rsons-dallas-mavericks-agree-deal-sources-say

The Dallas Mavericks and restricted free agent Chandler Parsons have agreed on a three-year deal worth in excess of $45 million, according to sources close to the process.

Sources told ESPN.com that Parsons will sign the offer sheet Thursday, after which the Houston Rockets will have three days to match the offer or lose Parsons.
