    I would be okay doing two years with Wade, but 4 is out of the question IMO. He's at the point in his career where he could go down the tank pretty badly at any moment. And it's really worrying that he still doesn't have a great outside shot.

    At 4 years his contract will go beyond any of the core's, and leak into the next collective bargaining agreement. A little too risky for my blood.

    I'd do something like 2/24, but that's it.

    What if Wade would consider 4 years at $5M vs. 2 years at $10M since we can't afford the $10M figure under the CBA as the team is right now.

    The 4 years at MLE amount works. You're paying him the same amount (from his POV), just over 4 years instead of 2.

    That would be 2 years, vet minimum. Max profit, not max contract!

    Is Wade good with vet min? Bada bing bada boom. Sign me up.

    Sign for 4? Suppose...but at least we could dump whrn the gas tank is on empty.

    Sure. Not a Cadillac plan if nothing else is in place but it wouldn't suck.
