Never say never, but when it comes to the Bulls’ pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, it appears that the organization, despite potentially being the superstar free agent’s best shot at winning a title, will come up short.

The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that Anthony will opt to remain in New York, where the small forward can command a five-year, $129-million max contract and while he hasn’t officially notified any of the teams he visited during last week’s nationwide tour, which also include the Lakers, Rockets and Mavericks, an announcement is expected Thursday, the day the NBA’s league-wide moratorium on free-agent signings ends.

The Bulls have advantages to offer and seem willing to dance. It takes 2 to tango and if suiters go elsewhere it will not because Reinsdorf is Mussolini, Jack Benny, Nosferatu and Chthulu rolled into one.

If Kirk won't give us a home town discount, send in Taj to get the deal done!

Or have the players come in with mob guys to bust kneecaps or say your brains or your signature will be on a contract? I mean seriously? Its stone cold both sides but somehow Reinsdorf is Voldemort. Bag full of Melodollars beats contention. Max profits. Max profits. Max profits. 2 way street. Won't hear a word about player max profits though will we?

So you're saying JR is all those guys rolled into one, but that's not why some players don't want to sign here? :D
