    Partial tear out at least 6 weeks. No surgery at this time. So much for ROY or CYA.

    We all know that he will have TJ surgery dix weeks from now and miss most of next season. Do the Ysnjs try and get Hammels now?

    I'm finding it difficult to be optimistic about the rest of this season, reality keeps getting in the way. 1 experienced starter and a sluggish offense, I wonder if we just became sellers and not buyers. Could the second half become the audition for the kids to allow mgmt to fully assess the rebuilding effort.

    While I would love to see Jeter in the post season one last time, it may not be in the cards.

    I know what ya' feel....

    If Jeter isn't in this post season, (and tho' I have endless hope), I don't see it, less a blockbuster July of signings....
    ;
    If no post season and/or if a p.s, I'd love nothing more than to see Our Captain hit .350, in the 2nd half, I'd settle for .310 even. I just want to see #2 go out with a BANG...! typical of his career...!

    I know it won't happen, but I firmly believe they should be sellers at the deadline... anyone they could get would have been to compliment Tanaka, not replace him... too many injuries for the 2nd year in a row... too much to fix...

    I'm thinking long term here... this season can't be salvaged without Tanaka and I'm not sure they can really hold on until he returns...

    Upcoming over the next "6 weeks" they have Bal, Cin, Tex (4), Tor, Tex, Bos, Det (4), Cle, Bal, Tam, Hou... Bal, Cin, Det, & Tor are quality teams and Cle is basically .500, so that is 19 of 35 teams are .500 or better than this current team... Tam & Bos are both only 5.5 back of us, we are 1 behind Tor... 4 behind Bal

    ...I understand, but short term, they're still only 4 games back with 3 games vs the O's before the AS break...those 3 games might go a long way towards ownership deciding what action to take, if any.

    ... I won't give up until they are mathematically eliminated.

    2 games against Bal when he pitched, the Yankees were 0-2... so with a 2-4 split, Tanaka got 1 loss, 1 ND, 3 ER each... so the Yankees are 2-2 when he didn't pitch.... doesn't give me the feeling like they'll gain ground... ya know?

    ...yes, and 2 losses vs the O's is all that separates them from 1st place...in Baseball, the past doesn't always dictate the future. Again, I'm not bailing on this team.

    This is going to result sooner than later in TJ surgery so should get it done now and could be back for the second half next year. Unfortunately, the yankees will follow the initial bullshit harvey rehab schedule and do the surgery in september or october and then the whole next year is gone also.

    Not even giving up when the Fat Lady Sings, even if its a choir/chorus of "Fat Ladies"....:pimp:

    Or-

    as all Yankee Vows state: "til death do us part, for better or worse, in sickness and health, in good times and bad"....til death do us part.... even then, there will never be a divorce ...... never going to happen, giving up ie,....not saying Uncle or Calf Rope either.....:smiley-pleased:

    It's simply a matter of adding some key pieces, and/or rebuilding next year too. A few acquisitions short of getting right back on top of the AL East IMHO....those pieces I gotta feeling WILL be in Pinstripes by end of trade deadlines....my 2 cents...!
