So are starters are set but the 2nd unit and more importantly the inactive players could be interesting. Who is your guess on the three inactive players (outside of injury)? PG - Lillard SG - Wes SF - Batum PF - LMA C- Lopez PG - Blake SG - CJ SF - Thrill PF - TRob C - Kaman SF - Wright C- Leonard Inactives SF - Claver SG - Crabbe PF - Joel
Leonard supposedly has improved (like all the young guys) but if he hasn't much then he would be an Inactive at times.
PG - Lillard SG - Wes SF - Batum PF - LMA C- Lopez PG - Blake SG - CJ SF - Thrill PF - TRob C - Kaman SF - Wright PF- Joel Inactives SF - Claver SG - Crabbe C- Leonard I would like to see Claver or Crabbe make some strides this season.
Joel has great contributions early last season when we were fighting for the best record in the west. I agree he's third string right now, but if his defense improves again this off-season maybe he can steal some of trob and Kaman minutes. I'm excited to see the bench play more minutes. I think it'll help the starters play more effective when they are on the court.
You have 4 SFs and 2 PGs. Move Barton to PG. C Lopez Kaman Leonard PF Aldridge Robinson Freeland SF Batum Wright Claver SG Matthews McCollum Crabbe PG Lillard Blake Barton
PG: Lillard | Blake | Barton SG: Matthews | McCollum | Barton SF: Batum | Barton | Crabbe PF: Aldridge | Robinson | Wright | Freeland | Claver C: Lopez | Kaman | Leonard | Freeland I think Barton is versatile enough to play the 1-2-3.
PG: Lillard | Blake | Barton SG: Matthews | McCollum | Crabbe SF: Batum | Wright| Claver PF: Aldridge | Robinson |Freeland C: Lopez | Kaman | Leonard Although half the team can play more than one position.
obviously not... And not to mention Aldridge won't start.. He needs to be cut. No Team would ever have him as their starting PF, takes too many jumpers. Soft. Ballhog. All-around bad nba player.
9-man rotation: PG: Lillard | Blake SG: Matthews | McCollum or Barton SF: Batum | Matthews PF: Aldridge | Robinson C: Lopez | Kaman
I'm not sure that Lopez is better than Kaman, just that Kaman misses more games, so being a backup is good for his longevity.
C Lopez / Kaman / Freeland PF LMA / TRob / Meyers SF Batum / Wright / Clavier SG Wes / Barton / Crabbe PG Dam / CJ / Blake Overall I hope our bench plays a lot of minutes to keep our starters fresh and to have the option of playing up tempo Spurs style ball if need be. I'm hoping CJ plays very well and beats out Blake as the backup PG. I'd like to see Barton get most of the SF/SG backup minutes but similar to Steve; Wright is a fine option if need be. Freeland is great insurance as the 5th big man. Crabbe will only get a shot if there's an injury. I've given up on Meyers, I do like his story of coming from nothing but he has a small wingspan; a short standing reach and terrible basketball IQ. I've given up on Claver as well but just because he has no jump shot. He has exceptional basketball IQ.
