If the goal is championships, Bosh 4 Wiggins is worth it, imho. If I were Minni or Miami, I would not do a trade or S&T without Wiggins in it, otherwise, what's in it for them. As for Love vs. Bosh - who knows, really. Love is a better rebounder, Bosh is a better defender, he is a close friend of LBJ and they know how to play together. The biggest thing Wiggins brings to the table at this point is defense - and if you are losing Wiggins in this trade (which I believe they will have to, otherwise the other teams will not be a part of it) - I think they should recoup some of the defense with Bosh over the extra rebounding that Love brings you (and no, I do not think Love will give much more offense than Bosh does on a team where he is the 3rd offensive option).
As currently constructed (this year), yes. And he is right. But the Spurs were a 1 in a million this year. LeBron knows that as well and still wanted to go home.
It was a slap at the time, but the team is better off right now than they would have been had he stayed with I believe no more championships.. James leaving allowed them to build a team. And he could be the final piece to that puzzle. But I'm happy for the Cleveland fans today. If you remove championships out of the equation, they really have been on a role this year. Manziel, the #1, LeBron James. There is more I just can't think of it. Great time to be in Cleveland.
Well, they're otherwise going to lose Bosh for nothing. If Cleveland offered a first round pick or two as the inducement, what would be Miami's reason for saying no? Spite? Because a first round pick or two is better than the zero they get when Bosh signs with Houston. Miami has no leverage, really.
I would not do this. Wiggins, I think is pretty special. So special that maybe the Blazers should have moved on a deal for him if it was available.
As they are now, Cavs have four #1 picks, right? Irving, Wiggins, LeBron, Bennett...has that ever happened?
"The Cavaliers have opened talks by offering guard Dion Waiters, forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick to the Timberwolves in exchange for Love, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard." That is pure crap for Love. I can see them opening up with that but, I don't see it happening without the two Canadians. Wiggins and Bennett and a first round pick will be close. Maybe GS now increases their offer......
Houston can be very scary yes. But really it is still all about the Spurs and how scary good they are. Until proven otherwise the Spurs still own the west, not Houston.
If they have to throw in another one or two # ones to make it happen. I'm sure the will. It's nice they have that luxury without the touching the core.
Who are those starters? Is Wiggins really a tall SG like they suggest? If he is I would hold on to him too.
