lol. You act like that there is ABSOLUTELY nothing he can do to improve this team. Forget the cap space! It's not a situation, "Welp, I've fit Steve Blake into this slot and Chris Kamen into this 'slot'. I guess I'm done. Shouldn't be that simple minded.

It's pretty clear that Olshey has been stroking it to shoot his wad next off season.

Bob Whitsitt traded and signed year-round. One reason I disliked Pritchard was that he would say about now that he was done looking for deals until the next draft. What a lazy GM.

    So Olshey's the same, eh?

This could all be by design just as one suggested above, I have concerns it's an excuse for a larger problem. But only time will tell.

Just confirms what I have feared.

The team caught lightning in a bottle last season. Instead of looking to get better, the team has just written this season off. (excuse me - he is "showing his faith" in the current roster) At best, Olshey is doing this because he has some vague plan for next summer....when he still won't have enough cap space to make a difference.

I wonder how forgiving Blazer fans will be when the team regresses to under 50 wins and a first round exit?

Nah, Olshey is the aikido master who stays cool while Riley and Morey come out all aggressive and just bang their heads on the floor while Neil smiles and walks off in the sunset chuckling

We're set?! There is NO way to improve this team? Really. No way to get an extra forward or point guard. We are overloaded at shooting guard, surely we need to prune somewhere? Whatever happens in the NBA, the Blazers do the opposite.

What part of Kaman, Blake replacing Watson, Mo is such a setback? You'd rather be the Timberwolves this season?

Agree, I wish they would try to get Mike Dunleavy.

I did not realize you were such a big fan of Mo. Personally I don't think there is one player on this team that won't play better than they did last year. And when we lose two centers at the same time we won be forced to play a sf in the middle. I think we got better.

How will we "regress" when Lillard, LA, Batum and Lopez are all young and growing? The Bench is improved from last season already.

Doom and gloom oldman, doom and gloom...

Why not Paul Pierce, Shawn Marion or Mike Miller?

Pierce wants too much money, Marion would've been a good pickup but I'm not gonna complain about picking up Kaman over him and Miller wouldn't get too much PT with us.
