Kuroda moves to the head of the class. The rest, well, are 4 or 5 starters, if that.

It looks like a 2 run output and about 13 hits.

played the game for many years, had many coaches, every once in a while a good coach steals one way, with a wise old move or a crazy decision, something!!!! too many wasted great efforts go by some yankee players, betances, go by the wayside cause we just don't have that coach!

You played the game for many years but just post the same repetitive drivel with no substance. Where in this game would you of liked something tried to steal the game away as you put it?

    ...^^^ glad someone gets it.

...you'd think that someone who claims to have played the game for many years would have at least learned a little bit about the game.

Here is what I learned from playing the games, Unless you have a starting 5 of Gibson, Seaver, Guidry, Koufax and you fill in the 5th starter, you going to lose most games when you score 2 runs or less. Oh, and one hit in the last how many innings will get you too. This team is an average team at best.

I'll add that 5th starter as Marichal....or a ton of other greats....

One thing I've noticed as a constant common thread in MLB Series Teams, or those who go to the LCS, usually advance, by=

The Teams who win the most 1 run games, and the Team who has the most come from behind victories, 9 times out of 10 win or go onto Series Play,

    ...........

(as much, so many of these type of teams, share the same 2 dynamics [1 run game wins and most come from behind victories], in their seasons.

sorry, i call it as i see it, and of course i see it differently cause of my experiences. it's funny how personal attacks come to a poster and not where it truly belongs, not surprised!

and mess lol, everything is repetitive, NO?

also, don't you think i have taken into consideration the injuries, the this and that!!! give me a break already, phelps earned that win the other nite but of course overmanagin joe takes him out, and the bottom falls out once again..

ever here of a thing called LUCK? it comes to those who are good at what they do when things are all wrong, u c it happening with the yankees in any way shape or form?

had to edit post cause i had to make sure the substance included in this post is of the most clear and simplest form for "some" of you to understand.

    have a nice day!

You mean the luck the Yankees have in paying Tex $20+ million to hit .235?

It is a sad day in hell or this living room, sad day in the Bronx, sad sad sad, when our #1 starter is a 40 year old vet....who's seen better years, amazing Kuroda is still going (decent for a 40 year old)....

He should retire tho' after this year, and return to "The Kuroda Institute of Western/Asian Higher Learning"....yep, that's a legit Org. Not sure if he's a relative of its founders, The Venerable Late-Taizan Maezumi's; brothers-Kuroda.

Some traditionalist Japanese, take their Father's last name, some their mother's, as in the case of Maezumi, otherwise he'd of been a Kuroda.....those f'krs think way over my own head...!

    Hokay-Grasshoppah...!

    Gassho-Konnichiwa.....Hiiiiiiiii....!

i'm talkin about coaches who can still win with all the adversity... girardi obviously can not, he does have ring on his resume, and we now know the truth behind it, AROD was allowed to take peds...

glad u brought tex into this cause once again, if we had a coach with cahones, tex would be hittin .300 every year if he sprayed the ball around! didn't know tex was the 2nd coming of babe ruth!

...and don't forget the "luck" of losing 80% of the starting staff.

...ummm, Phelps was by no means dominant in that game and actually Joe and the Yanx probably would have been better off if Phelps had not even been allowed to start the 7th inning. Technically, he only pitched 6 innings, threw 103 pitches, allowed 10 baserunners, was staked to a 3-0 lead, and proceeded to give up back to back singles to lead off the 7th inning...but according to your "experience" Joe should have left him in.

Without a Pitching Staff to speak of, not even Stengel, or any great Mgr. could keep a team competitive, on top, or dominating......like trying to ride a bicycle with blinders on, no handle bars, and no pedals either......only can go down hill, and steer with the knees.....

A metaphor for Gerardi's daily trip in pursuit of the AL East Pennant, then some....

Whatever happened to supporting Joe, I can't forget the praise the old ESPN Msg. Board Posters had for Joe, when he won NL Mgr. of the Year Award in Miami....yep, there were plenty of Gerardi fans and Yank Fans giving Kudos, for our ex-Backstop.....where the hell did they all go....:wub::dunno:

its funny cause i read this stuff and not 1 of you seem to realize that no one in the east is dominant, yet nite after nite being in most games where the team has a chance to win, we lose!

MO & AROD made girardi, girardi can't do a thing on his own

...lol, "Girardi can't do anything on his own"...yes, because what you don't seem to realize is that Girardi can neither pitch nor hit.

...and the term "dominant" was used to reference Phelps and had nothing to do with parity in the AL East...derp.

no 59, what girardi is supposed to do is get his players to perform, regardless of what the name is on back of the jersey, to the best of their abilities! they are after all prpfessional athletes right?

how does a coach like popovich continue to win regardless of who is out on court...maybe cause he holds his players accountable, tough love, and his players pay him back by playing every game to win, its called respect! girardi , players mite say they respect him, but they don't cause he babies them! for example tex is out 2 weeks cause he tweaked his girly wrist, he plays 3 games in a row and on the 4th day when the yanks are finally gettin something going, he decide tex needs a rest...
