    2nd yankee thrown out at home today. Thompson not on the ball today.


    The Yankees have now had 15 runners thrown out at home this season. That leads the major leagues. They only had 13 all of last year.

    Rick, that might be more of a product of the sucky yankee offense and being more aggressive to get some runs on the board than anything else. With 2 outs I didn't think it was a terrible send on jeter today and took a nice play to get him at the plate.

    Jeter's play was close but Ellsbury even with his speed was out by 3-4 steps.

    I wonder if they interpret the new anti-collision and replay rules are an opportunity to get the extra run, one way or another. Either way, there is some showv of no confidence of the O.
