He and Derrick Rose share an agent, I'm guessing that's why he got the invite?

Either that, or Thibs saw that he played 39.0 minutes per game last season for Canisius and said "oh hell yeah, that's my guy"? If Rose gets hurt, surely Billy can handle all 48 minutes, that saves a roster spot.

And saves Thibs from having to make a substitution.

He shot better and outscored the guy we traded two picks in a deep draft for.

Baron looked great, he scored more points in his Summer League debut than Derrick Rose did.

    Doug: 2/8 FG, 2/5 3's, 4/5 FT, 10 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast, 4 TO
    Rose: 3/8 FG, 0/1 3's, 4/8 FT, 10 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast, 5 TO
    Baron: 4/7 FG, 2/3 3s, 1/4 FT, 11 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 0 TO

Rose's 1st SL game was also Michael Beasley's Summer League debut, he had 28 points and 9 rebounds in 23 minutes.

Surely he will, he shot better and scored more than the guy who was #1 pick, Rookie of the Year and future MVP of the league.

Obviously those things mean something, or people wouldn't bring them up?

How exactly do you beat out a guy for a job on the team?

You'd think playing better would be one way.

    Yes.

    And?

Baron played better than lots of guys. But you only mentioned one. Just seems a little odd.
