Michael Bay is a movie Director. What movies has he directed? Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, and I believe The Island as well. There are more of course. He is currently working on a Transformers movie. Anyway the point of this topic: If you have seen his movies what do you think of him as a director? I think he sucks and needs to be banned from his job. He's a good action choreographer, though. :dribble:

Michael Bay essentailly thinks up great ideas or gets great ideas from a screenplay, and then procedes to F*ck it up.Did you guys know that Scarlet Johanson wanted to do a topless scene in "The Island" but Michael Bay said no because he wanted to keep it at PG-13?For this I'll never like him

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Did you guys know that Scarlet Johanson wanted to do a topless scene in "The Island" but Michael Bay said no because he wanted to keep it at PG-13?</div> Or she won't do topless? I remember in A Love Song for Bobby Long, she had the chance to go topless but didn't. She covered. On Michael Bay, his audience is essentially the teen ages, from 13-17 basically. He's aiming at the huge explosions, everything has to be big. The sets, the actors, the budget, the cgi. I'll have to say sometimes, it's good to just sit back and watch that kind of stuff. I enjoyed Bad Boys II, it's a good guilty pleasure. I think he was practically made for the summer movies. Besides that, I don't think he's a unique director in his own right, it's cliched stuff and focuses more on action then depth. But he is no Uwe Boll. He's just a ok director imo.
