A couple of friendlies, the Emirates, and we're back in business already. Feels like the summer just started! Arsenal visit Meadow Park next weekend for our first friendly of the new season. Arsenal have a good relationship with The Wood with our Ladies and Youth teams using their ground on occasion. The Wood are thrilled that Arsenal are visiting and expect a sellout that will be a financial boon for the club. No word yet on which players are expected to be involved but everyone seems to be hoping we'll see the debut of Alexis Sanchez. Odds are the team will be a mishmash of first team players and fringe first team/reserve players. Would not be surprised to see the likes of GZ, Sanogo, and Eisfeld involved.
Wojciech Szczesny, Kieran Gibbs, Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, Nacho Monreal, Mathieu Flamini, Yaya Sanogo, Abou Diaby and Carl Jenkinson could all feature.
