Golden state had won 16 straight summer league games!?

This REALLY bugs me: the Bucks and the Jazz have the wrong players. CLEARLY the better player out of Parker and Exum is Exum (Parker's ceiling is poor man's Carmelo, but Carmelo won an NCAA championship as a freshman, while Exum's ceiling is Penny Hardaway crossed with Jason Kidd) and the Bucks picked first! Not only that, but they have a shitty PG and their best player is a forward. So now they have a forward logjam and still have a shitty PG. Meanwhile, the Jazz's prize rookie last year was a PG and (and this is the capper) PARKER IS A MORMON. Perhaps the only black Mormon in existence! The commissioner should step in and set this right.

This is the problem with the NCAA. It's like the Glenn Robinson draft. He was scoring 30+ ppg on 50+% shooting in the NCAAs so everyone thought he was easily the best player, and the Bucks drafted him over Grant Hill and Jason Kidd. Turns out he was a solid scorer, borderline all-star, while they were all-NBA. Same with Parker. Maybe he'll be a 20+ppg in the NBA, but it's just obvious that Exum is something special. (Of course I'm biased: I like the Bucks and I don't like the Jazz. But this bugs me.)

The oldest players in Summer League: we've got two of them, and neither is Joel.

I forgot that Delonte West was over 30.

Hell, let's sign him AND Royce White and just have a team of psychologists on staff.

Otto Porter was one of my faves of last years draft. I remember most on here hating him.

I know you love international players but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Its just a few SL games in and making a statement like that before either plays an actual NBA minute is almost meaningless. SL is also where gaurds shine and big men arent that great.
If you redid the draft 30 times with 30 different teams picking #2 Parker still goes #2 to just about every team.

So, I'm ahead of the curve. Everyone will claim they were too in a year or so.

Didn't GS just lose (by a bucket) for the first time in 16 Summer League games?

Yes. He's a freak athlete but a bit passive. He had an epic block of Nerlens Noel, but in general he doesn't look like someone who's going to be a big scorer right off the bat. More like Tracy McGrady, the Toronto years.

Well it's fortunate for Cleveland with lbj being the scoring anchor. Cleveland fans are so fucking lucky

That is a good comparison. His outside jumper is better than I thought and when he elevates you can't block it.

What surprised me about Wiggins is that his defensive instincts are already there. I expect him to be an on the All NBA defensive team, but he needs to improve his shot and figure out how to use his athleticism on O. That will come.

Exum has kinda faded since that first game. He really needs a left hand. Most intriguing prospect I've seen in SL so far has been the Greek Freak.

The main problem that hurt Barton was his lack of control. It seems he's dialing in on that part of his game. I would like his shot to be better, but his defense is what intrigues me the most. Those "instincts" you talk about really can't be taught. Some people have it or they don't.

Good one between cha and dal. Vonleh doesn't look half as good as I expected him to.
