I think they ought to put MKG on the block. His jumper is so bad that he makes Rubio look like Ray Allen. One of the worst shooters I've ever seen in the NBA. Huge, HUGE liability on the offensive end. It'd be like running P&P plays for Przybilla.
There are some GMs/owners who have no problem admitting they screwed up and just moving on (Pat Riley with Beasley the first time), but most GMs aren't prepared to do that until the rookie deal just peters out. I suspect Cho/Jordan would be the latter. Which is a shame, because MKG does everything except shooting pretty well, and we could certainly use his defense in our second unit. (Presumably you were thinking of this because Charlotte just signed Lance Stephenson, a similar player who can shoot. They could also be about to acquire Carlos Boozer.)
I don't think it matters much to Stephenson if he gets a contract RIGHT when the TV deal goes through or not. The main reason he turned down Indy was because they wanted to lock him in for 5 years. With at max a three year deal with CHA. He can become a FA again when he is 26, right as he goes into his prime and if he proves himself to be a little more level-headed then he was last year, there is a real good chance he can cash in on a max deal then.
Chris Sheridan @sheridanhoops With Chandler Parsons, Richard Jefferson and Rashard Lewis now on #Mavs, looks like Shawn Marion not coming back #NBA sheridanhoops.com/2014/06/30/dal… I really wish there was a way to sign and trade Marion for Wright and maybe someone else to get Marion
I still have hopes for Crabbe but Marion would help sooooo much this year that it would still be worth it.
Going into this off-season, did ANYBODY see Chandler Parsons getting $19M more than Lance Stephenson?
I don't think the pacers will be half as good without lance. The hornets are gojng to be very scary though
I think the Hornets will be good in the east, but I don't think they'd even make the playoffs in the west.
