Re: No more video clips! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As debilitating as these actions have been towards the player-fan dynamic, Stern's latest decree may be the worst one. As reported at the end of last week's "The Biz" report, the NBA has decided to take all NBA-related video content off of the Internet. Highlights and game clips will now only be available in NBA.com's video library.</div>
Re: No more video clips! wth, wow. I guess it kind of makes sense if you squint your right eye, close your left and look sideways.
Re: No more video clips! Thats bullsh*t maybe he's doing that so people can't make a profit on them, but its still bullsh*t Stern is trying to control everything.
Re: No more video clips! This really makes no sense what so ever. Alot of people in the world do this for hobbies and fun. This is awful. I guarantee you that the NBA is going to lose some fans for this. Half of the things that this guy does serves no purpose...I hate it.
Re: No more video clips! I don't see this doing that much. We already have thousands of guys on these sites that are capping games and clips with no permission from the leauge. How are they going to enforce it?
Re: No more video clips! how can you actually take away the viewing of clips online? damn it is time for david stern to step down as commissioner. someone is gonna assassinate him soon if he doesn't and I'm not kidding. this guy is a prick.
Re: No more video clips! How does it help the NBA at all? Having people host nba clips on youtube expands the NBA's image and have more people watch them. The people aren't even making money out of it, so what's Sterns' concern?
Re: No more video clips! Does anybody else see the benefit this gives the NBA, other than me? By doing this they are increasing their traffic, and producing more revenue, even if it is just slightly. People can still make their mixes, etc., because it will be nearly impossible for the NBA to take every clip off the internet (unless it is licensed/copyrighted to the NBA).

That was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, reasons he implemented the dress code.
Re: No more video clips! Not one of Stern's brilliant ideas. You can't stop people from using clips... it's stupid. Sure traffic may go up but how much of a difference will it make?

As a fan, you should be mad, not supportive. They want to take down all clips and make us go to their slow ass site.

And I was pointing out how it benefited the NBA because most people here need to start looking at things from both sides of the fence, not just one. Stern is a businessman, and he runs the NBA like a business - always has, always will - and that's the reason why he makes the decisions he does. If people here understood that, they wouldn't see certain things as "pointless" and "Stern just being a dictator."People need to get off his back... if it wasn't for this man, there would be no NBA right now. "OMG Stern is soooo mean because he is taking off video clips! sh*t, F*ck the fact that he saved the league and made it into the multi-billion dollar business it is today and allows us to enjoy the game of basketball!"Please... you guys need to realize this isn't that big of a deal, and there is no way in hell the NBA can take down all NBA-related clips from the internet. It is impossible.
