<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Sacramento Bee -Chris Webber does not want to be a near irrelavent component of the 76ers and if that is what the team intends for him, he wants to be dealt. He has talked to the club's management about the issue."I'm not going to keep playing like this," Webber said after scoring six points in 23 minutes in Philadelphia's 96-90 victory Wednesday night in Seattle."I don't like this role," he said. "So, you can take that however you want."</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/432..._out_of_philly/

He has no reason to speak after getting paid twice of what he deserves. An immovable contract sucks for Philly.

Hey Mr. Webber, have you ever stopped to think of the reasons WHY you have such a limited role? Um, well, let's see...1. You're old, and you're not the player you were 5 or 6 years ago.2. You give absolutely no effort defensively.3. You suck offensively.4. You're a bigger ballhog than people accuse Allen Iverson of being.I mean, come on, can he really not see that Cheeks isn't playing him in the fourth quarter of games because he is a huge defensive liability? Not to mention the fact he's shooting 35% on offense, not moving the ball around, etc.Newsflash Chris: We don't want you in Philly either! Damn... mavsfan, you're right, it does suck having his ridiculous contract. I think Webber should just ask the team for a buyout... I wouldn't be opposed to that either, but first I want to see if there is any GM out there stupid enough to want to trade for him.

I guess he'll have to put in philly until his contract expires. that contract is nearly immovable.

he's pretty much asking to be taken out of the NBA..nobody in their right mind would trade for him..hes out of his prime and he might call an illegal timeout

Chris, get a buyout and go back to Sacramento or Washington! Hell even Golden State could use ya! [IMG]I'm a big Webber fan... While I can't argue the points brought up about his lack of defense and him not gettin' any younger... I'm still a Webber supporter!

Webber can still put up 16 ppg and 8 rpg, but that microfracture (Correct me if I'm wrong) knee surgery screwed up his career just like it screwed up Penny Hardaway, Jamal Mashburn, and Allan Houston's career.

I knew this was coming soon. I could tell that he has to be frustrated when I watch him on offense. How he is playing now, he realistically should be coming off the bench. During last year, I saw all Sixers fans hated him and wanted him out and I didnt understand why and I liked what he was doin. But now I can see for myself how he doesn't fit in in our style of play. So sad that it could end like this. I was so exited when I first heard he was coming to Philadelphia back in 05'.

I can name probally 30 F's I would take over Webber at this point in his career. He should just zip it and take the money that hes stealing from the NBA with his lost skills and pla.

Hell, I'd probably go as far as saying Shavlik Randolph is better than CWebb.

WOOOOT! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOWARD TO THIS DAY FORVER! Raptorfan you ca have him for free lol. Were a better team witho him even if we don't get anything in return. I wonder fi any gm's would be stupid enough to trade for him though. Seems like isiah Thomas's type of player. Old and washed up with a big contract.

Your stuck with him.
