There is no such law. Spouses and children merely need to apply the same as anyone else. If the family applies together, they will be approved or denied together. If there's any waiting it's because they waited to apply.
I have an idea. Let's do an exchange. The refugee children can stay in this country. The country that proclaimed "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free". And the protesters, who call children garbage to be "dumped" can go to El Salvador and Guatemala. No government, lots of guns, sounds like Tea Party paradise.
Actually, to be fair, the ones who should go are the supporters. Let the illegals take their place in this country if they support them so much and really believe that they deserve to be here just as much as they do. Put their money where their mouth is.
Nah, she got it right. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free. Somehow it's changed to "I got mine, get in line and wait 25 years to even have a chance to make it." What's moronic is that we don't let the parents just bring the kids with them and come here to be free.
The line is 25 years BECAUSE of the Illegals. Its like me coming to sleep in your house. You paid for it, you put in the paperwork to make it in your name, but fuck it, I deserve to live there because where I live is more dangerous and crappier.
The line is 25 years because that's the way the law is written. It's not like you coming to sleep at my house. It's like you landing in my city on an airplane and going out looking for a job and a place to rent.
How the fuck are they "native"? They've been here longer, but they crossed a land bridge instead of taking a boat.
I have zero problem with legal immigration. I have an enormous problem with illegal immigration. Without borders, one does not have a nation. What's funny is that the people being hurt the most by this encouraged illegal immigration are the poor, unskilled workers who vote for Democrats. And the people who benefit the most are the very wealthy. Suckers.
But what is "legal" varies year to year and also depends on country of origin. Every Cuban is automatically admitted. Who gets excluded is based on economics and racial myth of the year. And there are also separate legal categories for refugees.
How about the first 100,000 or so of them have a forever pajama party at crandc's crib, and anyone after that gets stopped at the border? As for "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free", those words were a desperately amoral plea for a massive influx of slave labor and future military conscripts. It worked like a charm, and we found out that tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free aren't such a good thing. They're a fucking drain on the entire country they reside in. It resulted in the Great Depression. The real one. How about we change the wording a bit to reflect our modern day needs? Send us your energetic, wealthy, individuals yearning to bust ass to become Real Americans.
That applies to most governmental shifts over my lifetime. Gun control. Toll roads and driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, insurance. Recreational fees to visit "Public Lands". All patently prohibited by The Constitution and/or the Bill Of Rights. And yet, they're somehow forced on us and that's just the way it is. GOSH! DO YOU THINK MAYBE OUR GOVERNMENT SERVES ANOTHER MASTER?
