I think spicy like Joel "Polish Sausage" Przybilla is exactly what Oscar Meyers needs. Some snap, some beef, and some SPICE!

That the bench is again going to be one of the worst in the NBA.

At offense, yes. At defense, absolutely not. On the contrary I believe this will be one of the best defensive second units in the nba. Definitely top 5.

They will still be better offensively than last season.

I learned that our young bench has improved since last SL, but not yet enough to help in real games. So I predict that our old bench (Blake, Kaman, and Wright) will get more minutes than our young bench (7 players).

As it should be. Robinson is the only one of our young bench that has really earned minutes. Both CJ and Barton will get some run at the backup 2, but aside from that, the rest of the young guys should stay glued to the bench unless there's an injury.

Fucking back button! I had a whole response written out and I lost the entire thing :sigh:

The short story is that I think our front office and coaching staff are gambling that CJ and TRob will be able to contribute this season. I think if they had doubts they would have added another scorer. They still might, but I think CJ and Robinson showed marked growth from last summer to this summer.

Do we know what the guys from the Summer League team are doing now? Well, we know Robinson will be rehabbing, but otherwise? This might be a good place to report. It would be nice if they continued to work out. Is Freeland going to play for GB? If so, then he's got a Belgium double-header coming up. [Edit: I guess not.]
I think I heard that Will is off to play in one of those city leagues where he scores 70ppg, which won't quieten the "streetball" haters. Any news?

We did add another scorer: Kaman. Right now he's our best bench scorer (highest PPG in 2013-2014).

Sorry, I was thinking a wing scorer. I know they reached out to guys like Paul Pierce and Vince Carter. I still think Pierce would have been awesome.

Wiggins shot 40.5% from the field.
    Parker shot 42%.

I did not understand his first statement: "The roster has one too many "bigs" on it". Does this team need both Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland? I don't think so"

What is he saying here? I can understand if he does not like Leonard or Joel, but he sounds like he is saying we should not have the extra depth at center. Does he not remember what happened in February? We may not have the right bigs, but we have the right amount of bigs IMO. If you want another SF, then move Claver. if you want another guard, then move Crabbe. But don't subtract a center from the roster for depth at another position.

I'll just come out and say it - I don't care for Jaynes (one of the reasons is that he use to bitch about our team when we were going to the conference finals and the finals back in the Drexler days). I generally find it pretty easy to disagree with him. In this case, I'm not sure it matters what the makeup of your 13th-15th guy is. We don't have "too many bigs". However, I would be more receptive to the argument that we don't have enough PGs.

For the record, Houston has a thread with the exact same title.

Burn this thread to the ground!!!
