The end of July, 3-0 vs the Reds, followed by 4 vs the Rangers...also struggling. Then 3 more at home vs the Jays and then down to Texas for 3 at the Rangers. Great opportunity to catch Baltimore while they are on a west coast swing against solid teams.

This has to be the >.750 winning streak run before starting the dog days, 29 games in 31 days.
Likely will need 19 wins in August.

    How do you see it?

...I guess they just gotta keep grinding...that last series with the O's just before the break was disappointing...the 2 games they lost were VERY winnable...and with a little luck they could have won both of those games...and if they had, they'd be leading the division by 1 game.

Not sure what to think right now. Pitching has been good but hitting still needs work. RISP is awful and Ichiro in RF full time does not work for me as same goes for Johnson at 3rd. I am iffy with Roberts at second. Nine errors so far and a biggie in yesterday's game.

The pitching has really stepped up. They need the hitters to do the same. When you look at Tex across the board it's not good outside of the homer total. I mean 7 doubles? They have a good opportunity here with a Texas team that is having a terrible year and Baltimore continuing on a tough West Coast trip.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Tex had a hit this past series? He also left a ton of guys on base. If he is going to be in the 4 hole he is going to have to pick it up. Beltran swinging better is encouraging. Maybe he can hit well enough to be the cleanup hitter.

Correct he was 0-12 in the series. He's batting .190 in July with only that two homer game on July 9th to really show for the month. I'm beyond the point of having had it with him.

Timing of Pineda & Tanaka return to the rotation becomes significant as well.

...yeah, after losing 2 of 3 to the A's, they've now gotta face LA who is playing as well as anyone right now...then they have to go to Seattle to face King Felix and the Mariners.

...I complain about Roberts, then he suddenly gets better...I begin to think he's about to turn the corner, and then he starts sucking again.

...I complain about Johnson, and well,...he still sux.

...Ichiro has started wailing at a lot of bad pitches way out of the zone...love his D, but he needs to pick up the pace on offense.

They need to add a bat for sure. What Soriano brought when he arrived last year would've been so ideal at this point.

I agree with those (of you) who are fed up with Tex's plate antics.
Refuses to go the other way, refuses to take a walk, refuses to move
runners up, refuses to play a team game at the plate. One of the
most selfish hitters I have ever seen. Tired of his game. It is all
one-sided..........power or nothing. In truth, he has basically
    shown "nothing".

He's a homer or bust player at this point and he seems content with that. Like I mentioned the guy has seven doubles on the season and is batting .190 for the month.

    DOH-...!!!

Tex simply needs his daily Taco fix.....something he's not really had consistently since he left Tejas.....

TEX-MEX..... give Mark-his daily bread (tacos) and Picante, and he WILL pick up the "Pace"

Mc Cann seems to be picking it up at the plate, had the lucky horseshoe with his "gamer" yesterday but a smidgeon of luck always comes in handy.

Is it me, or is the entire team shaving their heads in honor of El Kapitan.....? I doubt it....yet, they all look like a gang of skin heads....forgive the reference.....just saying, the Team is doing the complete opposite of Bosox, or Oakland's beards et al....
