Jeter in action. It was great to see the RBI single on one of his classic Jeterian swings.

Yeah seats were fantastic. Had a great time. I parked in a lot on River Ave which was about a six block walk from the stadium which only cost $15. Booked it the day before on Parking Wiz. A lot better than the $35-$40 Yankee Stadium lots.

Luckily my brother in law works as a director at EcoMedia which is CBS's advertising division so they have a bunch of seats. They were in section 120A which I think are $300.

They lowered pricing from when the new place opened since even for the corporates their pricing was ridiculous. It's still just an expensive ass day. Granted there were some alcoholic beverages purchased but the four of us spent over $200 on food. Had to bring back two tee shirts for my daughters so that as another $50. Then add in gas, parking, tolls and we had dinner in the Bronx after the game. You're talking still over $400 without purchasing tickets.

...I've only been twice...in '02 and '08. After spending a ton for beer and food at the park, a local said the best way to do it is to visit one of the many pubs near the park about 2-3 hours before game time...get a full bell and a good buzz for less than half the price of stadium vendors...$8.50 per beer (Miller Lite) still blows my mind. Hell, I only paid $9.99 for a TWELVE PACK of Yuengling down here.
...and those little bags of roasted in the shell peanuts that cost $5 a bag at the stadium?...I can eat $50 worth during a game...lol.

I can't help but feel, a majestic game, the National Pastime of the Masses, is quickly moving to a point, its pricy admission, tickets, concessions, parking, souvenirs, where "the masses" are being priced right out of existence or admission.....

Sad, for a Natl. Past time, Teams making millions hand over fist and spending it too....(well some)...yet giving nothing back to the Fans.....nada...other than a flippin' game day free bobble head.....or T-Shirts to kids....hell, I'm still a big kid, I wan't my T-Shirt too Damn It.....!!!

One could easily think Oil Corps. and MLB Owners are sleeping in the same bed....!!!
    Record Profits, with record costs.....~~

They serve you at the seats I was in and it's 8.50 for a regular hotdog and 9.50 for a foot long. That's just absurd.

...I sat in that section twice (once on each trip)...nice not having to get up or flag down a vendor for a beer/food...still expensive as hell though.

...the first time was in '02 and I sat about as close to being directly behind HP as you were Yesterday. (Clemens was pitching)

...second time in '08 I was 2 rows behind the Yanx dugout, not far from Spike Lee.

For $7.50 I ordered cheese fries. It was a cup of fries and a small plastic container of cheese.
