Anyways welcome to the NBA rookie. Anthony Parker tonight is going to attempt to gaurd one of the arguably the best gaurds in NBA history. Really, there is no way around it, Kobe Byrant is going to get his 25 points a game 90% of the time, and really Parker might no be able to do much. Look for Parker tonight to run his ass around the court chasing Kobe and making sure he doesn't take those higher percentage shots. Power...Power....Power... More Power...[IMG] [IMG]Two Power Forwards square off tonight. Two generally speaking, proven players. Lamar has proved he can score when asked, and Bosh has proved he can lead when asked. But the question rests, in the end who will provide for their respective teams first? Tonight, I think they will use their own abilites to go at eachother, Bosh will use his shots to stretch the D, and his low/high post moves to score. Lamar will sue his quickness and finesse to keep Bosh on feet.C's Up[IMG] [IMG]Ok two centers who people have been very critical of lately. But I think one deserves more praise and that is Rash(just jking)....Andrew Bynum, For a sophmore center, Bynum is average 10 points and six rebounds, Both are working hard to fit into the role their team has, but I think Bynum is doing the better job. Today I think Rasho will handle Bynum defensively, but offensively, I think he just can't handle him.RF1's X-FactorTorontoTJ Ford[IMG]Tj Ford, for today, this guy literally has the Raptor future in his hands, and is doing a good job. But the question is, will the Raptors adjust to Ford's game? will they get up and run and throw it down of his passes, that is yet to be seen, but for Mitchell's sake, its got to. Look for Tj to bank a 9+ assist game tonight as well.LA LakersSmush Parker[IMG]Smush is one of my favourite players in the leaugue right now. I love his work ethic, and his strive to do better on and off the court. He has taken up on the role as an assistant to Kobe and is trying to adjust to that. I think he has the potential to be a player like Iverson, with slightly less scoring ability, and of course athletisim, he is just not there yet. He has a very long way to go in the assist category as he only averages 2 per game. Pass first is what will make him a better player.Hey Rookie, Rookie, RookieAndrea Bargnani[IMG]Season Stats: PPG 4.7 RPG 2.10 APG 0.0. Bargnani is growing with the team, I think he can boost his PPG per game to 10 this year if he works REALLY hard, not likely though for time being.Jordan Farmar[IMG]Season Stats: PPG 5.0 RPG 1.40 APG 2.3 Look at his statline, Farmar looks good for a 26th pick. I don't know much about him, but he looks legit. I look forward to see him playing tonight and how the Lakers use him in the rotation. If anyone has any info on him please pm me and fill me in.RF1's 3 Keys to the GameToronto1. Fred Jones, he is in the starting lineup for a reason, use his quickness and explosive step.2. Take high percentage shots, like I Stressed, 100 shots can be from halfcourt, or from the freethrow line.3. Contain Kobe. This is the hardest of the 3, but if you can contain Kobe, and limit Odom, this game is not very strong offensively for the Lakers.LA Lakers1. Kobe is your friend. Hey the best in the league right now, you don't think he can score?2. On the offensive glass, if you can rebound offensively, and contain the Raptors defensive rebounds, 2nd chance points come along.3. Get to the line. When the Raptors are in fould trouble (Bargs) they will keep fouling, get them in foul trouble early.Prediction:Seriously I think if Kobe gets hot early and Odom as well, we cannot and will not win this game. This will help our confidence level if we win though. But I Don't see us winning this. Kobe is hard to stop, but then again, 1 man teams never work do they?Pre-Game Notes: Raptors almost done road trip, on 3 game losing skid. Past 5 Game Outlook: Fri. Oh god..we've dropped 3 straight games I think. We have to win this. If we lose this, we're 2-6, and we put ourselves in a huge hole here. Hopefully we can contain Bryant to atleast under 40, and put ourselves in a position to win.

Hopefully the 4 day rest helped Kwame and Kobe get healthier.

Bosh was money in the 1st quarter. Good start. When Odom wasnt guarding him, he nailed the J's, and he took it in a couple of times. Fred Jones played some good ball so far also.26-22 after the 1st. Kobe traveled 3 times in the 1st quarter also.Jesus, our defense is f*cking pitful. We're letting them shoot 69%. How are we supposed to win when we play like that defensively?

Lakers gaining momentum and getting a bigger lead, I like the fast pace they are playing but they just have to get back on defense. Farmar is making some nice passes and I like what I'm seeing from the Vlad man.

(in the middle)BTW, nice reverse layup by Kobe right there.

I think he has 14 at the half...My point was that we're not going to have a repeat 81 point performance from Kobe..

Of course he is not going to score 81 points, and don't think we (laker fans) think that he will. :lol:Anyway we should be up by at least 20 but turnovers have cost us and lead to 10 of the Raptors's points. Smush and Farmar have kept us in the game with their nice passing and shooting.

No, with all your turnovers, we should be up by 10. It goes either way. But when you dont turn it over, our defense has been terrible.

Wow, such an ugly game, we really need a defensive presence in the backcourt
