Fair enough. I just don't really like Baseball.

The Raiders are now talking about moving to San Antonio.

Fleece the taxpayers, destroy the stadium, put together a crap team, then run.

I think we'll get an NHL team long before we get an MLB or NFL team.

That would be great too. Can you imagine how great it would be around here if we would have gotten both the Penguins and the Expos when Portland was rumored to have been in the mix for those franchises? Add them to the Blazers and the Timbers, and we'd basically have a major league team playing in town more than half the days of every year.

Shit, I will take any of the above. I don't even care which sport. I like them all. This city is deserving and will support any of the 3.

And I would go. Hockey live is the best sport. For the stereotypical have-to-have-beer-at-every-sporting-event person, you have two entire intermissions for consumption of barley and hops infused beverages.

So its been a decade we've been talking about baseball to PDX on this forum. I suspect it was what, another 5 years prior to that we had discussions as well?

I wonder if we'll still be talking about the idea 10 years from now in 2033.

Probably. And we'll be no closer then, than we are today. But we'll definitely have more hats to choose from.

I'll never buy something until it's official. There's no reason to buy it otherwise. I'm a huge baseball fan and would love a team here, but me spending $40 on a dumb hat ain't gonna help them when it's all left to a few people who make decisions.

The Rink in the MC is too small, not NHL regulation.

As long an an Allen owns the team and runs the Moda, the NHL will never be in Portland.

RENDERINGS OF THE FIELD HAVE BEEN PUT OUT. HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS AMAZING. this was a HUGE step in showing our hand to MLB to get a team. It'd be situated in the south waterfront right between the tillicum and Ross island bridges.

It's between us and salt Lake city and these renderings now have us neck and neck with them.
