Hey Rick- What do you think of Drew's A+ numbers? He sure wasn't here long, and its no wonder with his stats: (Lancaster-JetHawks). But the kid hit HR's and doubles like he was playing against Little Leaguer's. I honestly thought he was going big time, with bat and glove. We've seen quit a few Minor Lgr's here; go onto good to mediocre MLB careers. Griffey Jr., A-Roid, F-Uggla, Cargo, Cruz Jr., Gomes, Drew, Altuve, just to name a few. Drew owned the Calif. Lg. On top of his .389 Avg., his HR's, Triples, Doubles, noted in thread #11 Drew had a .486 OBP and 1.224 OPS.... Drew was one of the more talented minor leaguer's play in this Desert Town...the list goes on and on....(those who played on the local team, and those who played with other Teams, vs. the local team, ie, M. Like I said if he finishes up even half way decent I sign him up. He's not going to see the $14M he turned down from the Sox. So I do think 3 years @ #25M would get it done. I just can't see going into next season with Ryan as our only option.
Oh Lord, I hope Ryan gets a DFA slip, before the year is over..... Drew I don't see replacing Jeter, but with Cashman Drew is a likely candidate, tho' a FA at end of year. Isn't Scott Boras (bore-ass) his unfortunate agent....unfortunate for Drew.... I know I'm dreaming and always will, to want to see Tulo in Yank Pinstripes, I'll keep dreaming til the earth quits spinning. I'd make Drew our 2nd baseman next year, IF the Yanx were lucky enough to land Tulo.... I'd give anything to know what Tulo thinks of being a Yankee. Or what he was thinking other than wanting to come to see Our Captain play ONE last time, (when the Rockies were in Philly recently, and Tulo drove to the Bronx to catch a game, now why the hell did the news media have to make a big deal out of this???)
