It's mind boggling how much better he's gotten is such a short amount of time.
Durant is so good it's really scary. He's very polished for a freshman.Next season, he'll be better than Oden, in 5 years, maybe not. But next season he will be. I think right now he is leaps and bounds ahead of Oden as far as ready for the NBA goes.

Come on.
Durant is still at that time period where he relies on his athletic ability to play defense. He gets steals and blocks because he is tall, fast, and has long arms, not because he is in actaul position to get them. In that Tech game I went to, he was in some horrible position when he was getting posted up. Then out on the perimeter, the guy with the ball got to go where he wanted to . He didnt deny him the lne or deny him the ball. He needs to really work on that. Hopefully he gets drafted where a great defensive minded veteran will take him under his wing and show him out to play some good defense. As much as he is polished on the offensive end, he is really raw on the defensive. Him and Oden are at opposite ends of the spectrum in that respect.
I agree with Koopa that Kevin Durant doesn't need to bulk up, just compare him and Tayshaun and they are pretty much exactly alike. They are both tall, lanky, can jump, post moves, and they can both stroke the j. I think that Durant will be very similar to Tayshaun and that wouldn't be bad either because Prince has been a very good player during his stint in the NBA. When it's all said and done though I believe Durant will be better than Prince. If he's comfortable with his body now then why do anything.

(Like a McGrady, Nowitzki).

I've been watching college basketball for a whileDick Vitale was right about it all the timebut King 0 Durant did actually get absolutely shut down after his hot start in the 2nd hal

That's impressive. I just saw he is averaging around 26 points 11 rebounds and 2 blocks just sick numbers.
This kid is a beast. I was priviledged enough to watch him play live. Insane. I hadn't heard anything about him before I saw him play because I don't really pay attention to college basketball, so I thought he was just another average post player. Man was I wrong. I saw him hit like 3 straight 3's and then totally take it to the whole and posterize some guy. Amazing player. I have been following him since then.
He got the nod on the new Sports Illustratedthere's also an article on him in there if you wanna check it outo yeahhis next game is Saturday against Baylor
