I have a feeling Yankees are going to make a move today or tomorrow for a pitcher. They didn't get rid of Thornton for nothing.

Don't recall the exact day but his name came up on MLB as someone Arizona wanted to hold on to.

OK just saw the box score from his outing against the Royals last night, 10 runs 9 hits, no wonder Gibby may want to say good bye.

...young, healthy, LHed, decent numbers, under team control thru 2017 (arby)......I don't see anything wrong with picking him up.

I'd say bring him on at this point...why not, what do we gotta lose....? He can be a "work horse"....and at times in his career has been..... a work horse....ie.

I've seen this kid pitch both in A+ Visalia, and in L.A. He's a work horse, or can be, has been. But not a complete gamer, but then who is these days.

A big kid, only 6' but a bit chunky, which he uses to his advantage, not as bad of shape say as Teri Forster, that was a fat ass RP.

He can throw, throw hard, yet- he can have control probs, which obviously he's not rendered.... He's at 2.9 Walks per 9 IP. His life-time avg at 2.6, he gets his K's alright...maybe some refinements will bring his control in line, to take advantage of his pitch selection, et al. Cut down the Walks, awaken the K's to an even higher level.

I thought as much sitting behind home plate watching him pitch twice in 2010 here in this desert shit hole....

2nd- never met anyone from Hammond Luzianna, I did not like.

some of the best players I've ever seen came out of Luzianna, The South, So. Cal., or the Plains: Guidry, Pettite, Big Ben McDonald, (unhittable at LSU, a work horse too, who was overworked, then turned out to be a flop, with a destroyed arm, with the Brew Crew). The Mick, Maris, Dreifort, the list is endless........ bring him on....if he don't work out, we'll throw him in the Atlantic....!

disclaimer: good BB talent can be found anywhere, in any place....not just those I've mentioned....
