Vasgergian, Ripken, & Rosenthal discussing the Yankees series win over Detroit brought forth the following remarks. Ripkin led off by stating that the Yankee Pitchers did not out pitch Detroits "Big Three" but rather the Tigers hitters failing to do their job. Well God Damn that tells me that the Yankee Pitchers were on their mark keeping Detroits hitters at bay. Watching last nights game highligts Verlander was sulking after he gave up that second bomb. I think the consensus of many fans is that the Yankees were facing an up hill battle but they won. Finally Rosenthal admitted that they had to "credit" the Yankees Staff.
Yep, those Tigger Fans are in Denial, not the River in Africa, tho' they might as well be, watching their once 7.5 lead, dwindle, down to a 3.5 gm lead in the Central over K....and they still got to deal with KC in the last week of September, and we play them in Detroit a 3 game Series, on the 26th-28th of this month. Let's go sweep in the Rusted Motor City...... Detroit had a .582 Win Pctg., the 1st half, but only a .450 Win Pctg. so far this last half....
