    Yep, former 1st round savior brought up and had too early success which led to his downfall.

    still only 24, though. Not a lot of risk on Philly's part.

    I have always been tough on DZ as we all know, but I think it is a great no/low risk move for the Flyers. 1 year at only 1.3 mill, why not give it a shot. If MDZ isn't humbled and motivated to play big this season after being dealt by us, and non-tendered by the Preds, I would be shocked.

    I am sure he will be as focused and work as hard as he ever has before to have a good season and aim to sign a bigger deal next summer. Obviously he had very little interest in him, and that has to humble a pro.

    Very solid move for the Flyers to try and make up for Timonen.
