According to today's NY Post the Yankees have put Ichiro Suzuki & Brendon Ryan on waivers. Though aside from that I can't find anything else to confirm it.

Don't know if they put that stuff on the ESPN team transaction list but I saw nothing there. I really am not concerned with Ryan but I'd sure hate to see Ichiro picked up, like his game and attitude.

Bummer, I like Ichiro, would like to see him reach the playoffs with this team should they make it. The man has been as good an ambassador to the game as anyone.

They all will be put on waivers. My guess is neither will get claimed.

God, I hope not, Ichiro has been ONE class act, like previously stated a fine ambassador to the game....would hate to see him go. Yet, I'd like to see Ichiro sent back to Seattle by next year, to get his due....farewell tour, which he rightfully deserves. Only Pete Rose has more lifetime hits if you count his Japanese lg games. which I do.....!

I'm not exactly sure how it works but I think the Yankees can still pull him back if they decide to do so.

At 1st, I thought you were talking about Fleetwood Mac.....Rumours, (what a great LP and band).......

Yep, I'd like to see Ichiro finish out 2014, then go home to Seattle for his Farewell Tour, yet knowing Ichiro, if sent to Seattle, he'd probably play for those Bozo's til the age of 50.......

BTW-Rick, I've finished Torre's Book- "The Yankee Years", I found it to be an excellent read, especially for recollecting vital moves made during the 96 W.S. the 97 ALCS, and of course all those other great W.S.

Plus, Torre provides insight into things, done, said, by guys like Zim, or Jeter, O'Neill, ..... overall a great trip down memory lane. I got my copy from Amazon, for 12 cents, used but you would never know it. Honestly I think they sent me a "new" paperback.....12 cents & 3.99 for shipping, couldn't beat it.....It would make for a good read on your Plane Ride to CO. The book "ERA-1947-1957 When the Yankees, Giants. and Dodgers Ruled the World", is pretty darn good to, (tho' I'm not a big Roger Kahn fan-the writer, tho' he does this book justice, he wanders in his convo to much).....kinda like I do..... Got that book for 8 cents, also supposedly "used", that shows no sign of ever being touched, like brand new....also 3.99$ for shipping....

BTW- when your in CO. "watch out where the Huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow".....
