He must sit out at least seven games.

...I knew when I saw it, he'd probably be out for awhile....you could tell by his wobbling that it nearly knocked him out...I was a catcher for a long time and believe me, all that mask does is to keep pieces of flesh from leaving your face when you catch a foul tip...true, it does offer a bit of shock absorption, but you still see stars and moons, and Popeye cartoons.

None of this shit surprises me anymore. If it wasn't McCann it probably would have been someone else. Its like this team is snake bit. And something tells me A-Roid is loving it.

Yankees call up Romine. Last year he was doing fine calling games and had started to correct his hitting. Lets hope he can fill the bill by surprising us in a manner akin to Greene & McCarthy.

...I wonder why Romine was called up instead of Murphy?

I would guess it has to do with the number of options on them as far as being sent up and down.

Thanks Vic. okay so Romine is doing a little better but to be honest I'd really like to see them give this kid Sanchez a chance.

He will be 22 at the end of the year so I would guess he goes to AAA Scranton next season.

I did, notice AA Trenton, yet, I'd give him a hard look over in ST....some seem better off getting fully seasoned in the Minors......some just blow by and out of the Minors right onto the racetrack that is the Big Leagues, .....

Always have loved, 19 year old phenoms, spending but a year maybe, in all 4 Minor grades...and some need more time than others. I know he's 22, and probably as ready as he ever will be for the Big Show.....

Hell, I'm game for a anything at this point........

Even though he's a catcher by trade I may want to see him get a little work out in another position also. Like maybe 1st base. Just in case Tex gets a hang nail or an ingrown nose hair.
