That's just ridiculous... at this point, anyway.

All I can say</div> The Final score was Lakers 82 Bulls 72. Both teams shot terrible and had too many turnovers. But the Lakers still pulled it out because of their defense with 5 blocks in the 4th quarter alone.

Dude apparently has some crazy pitch...Was MVP of the World Baseball Classic...</div>I don't care if he has a pitch that makes the ball go from Canada to LA and back in 3 seconds, nobody is worth $51M to TALK to. He made more money from one phone call than KG, Duncan, and Rip Hamilton make combined per year. $51M for a phone call is friggen stupid. SUCH a waste of money. I don't care one bit about baseball but that just makes me mad. And people wonder why we can't feed the poor, but some Motherf*cker deserves $51M to talk to a baseball team? Give me a break.Good defensive game. Both teams shot horribly though, and Chicago could pay $51M all they want they couldn't buy a bucket tonight (except Noc). Noc was ON FIIIYYYAAA!!! all night long. Wow. Hinrich's confidence was completely shot down once he commited 3 fouls in 4 minutes on the floor. Gordon never got it going, Deng didn't shoot well, and the bench wasn't very productive offensively at all.For LA, Bynum was exceptional, Kwame brought a lot of energy off the bench, Odom played solid except for the turnovers, Kobe had a terrible first half, Walton was a non-factor, and the guards didn't play that well. But I have to tip my hat to Andrew Bynum, and it's good to see Kwame gain some confidence.Good win for LA, they are still rollin'. Chicago is playing terrible ball right now, they REALLY need to start racking up some wins.
The Lakers are a good basketball team, but I wouldnt call them title contenders until they prove themselves in the playoffs...
CelticBalla, there's a topic on the pitcher... you should probably go read it, because you've got the wrong perception of what's going on.

They specifically said "The Red Sox payed this guy $51 million, just to talk to him!"

As they said in the other topic, they are not giving him the money, it's going somewhere else (the team he plays for in Japan, I imagine). He's a great player, and they'll make the money back easily if they sign him. There's a lot of good reasons to pay that amount of money.
Offensively kobe was off but defensively, much improved. He was stellar for most of the night on the defensive end except when they kept on setting screens.Lamar was agressive tonight and that's all I want from him. Agression.

And regarding the screens, Kobe's always been lousy at getting around screens. He just has. I remember him blindly running into screens all the time last year. That's a communication problem between him and the other four players on the court. That was one of the scrappiest games I've ever seen. Kwame was scrappy, Ben Wallace was scrappy, Tyrus Thomas and Sefolosha were fighting for loose balls every play they were in, Bynum was getting into it, hell, even Kobe played somewhat of a scrappy game.
Funny to see ESPN reporters making fun of the incident with the Red Sox chatting with the Japanese pitcher. One of the announcers was like I would settle for one million for the phone call and the other said "expensive phone call there."
Great game by the Lakers, Those dunks by Parker and Kwame were nasty. Nocioni had a monster game, He is becoming one of the most underrated players in the league.
