Would you guys be satisfied if the playoffs started right now and included the current records of all the teams right now?EAST1. Cleveland2. Orlando3. New Jersey4. Indiana5. Detroit6. Atlanta7. Philadelphia8. MiamiWEST1. Utah2. San Antonio3. LA Clippers4. New Orleans5. Golden State6. LA Lakers7. Houston8. SacrementoI'm pretty sure those would be the seedings. What do you think, who would win?Personally I don't think this will be the same seedings as the actual playoffs will be, mostly because a lot of the the teams that are doing poorly are not given the whole 82 games to prove themselves.Thoughts?
haha the east is a joke. half those teams have losing records I think. orlando second seed? hahaha. hopefully things will straighten up sooner or later.
Well you'd certainly get some intriguing matchups. Cavs vs HeatPacers vs PistonsLA Clippers vs LA LakersSpurs vs RocketsThose would all be 1st round matchups. Certainly it'd come down to the winner of the Cavs and Heat and the Pistons in the East and San Antonio would have a pretty easy path in the West. I think it'd be Cavs vs Spurs finals if this was the way it ended.
Utah would win, obviously.Eastern Finals:Cleveland vs New JerseyWestern Finals:Utah vs San AntonioFinals:Cleveland vs UtahWinner:Utah

Utah has been playing out of their minds and their still only a game and a half above San Antonio. I'll admit, when healthy they're a dangerous team, top 4 in the West. But the Spurs are still better. With Parker and Duncan playing at the level they're playing at right now, I don't see the Jazz (or any other team for that matter) beating them.
I find it funny having Atlanta in 6th when last year they were horrible. And I think SAS would win this one easily. Utah is good but their record is deceiving. The west owns.

I find that really sad. The West has more talent and better teams. :drunk:

The Jazz would have no one to count on to take over on offense when they need it. Tim Duncan would shut Carlos Boozer down and dominate him on both offense and defense and he's their main option on offense.

They are playing great.East has only 3 teams above .500. But no Suns or Mavs just seems so weird.
Yeah, this would be a weird playoffs with no Mavericks, or Suns. The pick everyone liked in the preseason Chicago would not be in the playoffs. The Heat would only be an 8th seed, which would be completely weird, since they won it all last year.On a good note, the Orlando Magic would be a number two seed and have home court advantage. That would be awesome.
I have a hard time believing Golden State, Indiana, Philly, and Atlanta will be in the playoffs. I can definitely see GS making it there, but I don't know about the others. I'm not saying none of them can make it or shouldn't make it, but they have a long road ahead. And Utah won't be the first seed. Period.
To all the Utah beating SA in the WCF, that'd never happen. The bunch in Utah is great and everything, but as EVERYONE knows in the playoffs its all about experience. How many games have to key players of Utah played in? Boozer-0AK-47-9Harpring-14Okur-39Williams-0Fisher-117Compare that to the Spurs who have gobs and gobs of experience. I dont even have to put the numbers down. SA would defanatly win a 7 game series in the playoffs. Even with all of Jerry Sloan's with and coaching, he can only control so much. He cant gaurd Duncan for them. Anyway's this is all trivial.
This playoffs starting now stuff is absolutely retarded. It's not even a month into the season and your looking at the playoff races. Maybe if you're looking at something like this down the stretch seeing who has to do what, but come on, get serious. Doing this 3 weeks into the season is a complete joke.
The East is a complete joke. You have teams going in with losing records, and a team like Orlando as your second seed? They are a pretty good team but nowhere near a #2 seed. All you have to do is compare them to the #2 team in the west....San Antonio. As for the West, things would be rather interesting. Phoenix and Dallas were predicted to be the first 2 seeds in the west and neither one of them have played worth a sh*t so far this year. I will tell you one thing; there would be some great 1st round matchups. SA vs. Houston, Clips vs. Lakers, NO and Golden State would be a good matchup too. I would take Utah sounldy over Sac but that is the only one in the west. As for the East, Cleveland and Miami is the only real first round matchup IMO.
