Troy Smith basically has this in the bag. There is no one that deserves it more than him. He has won two games against two different number two ranked teams. He has put up great numbers and not relied on one reciever, he spreads the ball out. He has commanded the number one team from the begining of the season to the end with maturity and class. There is no one else that deserves it more than him.But what do you think? And no, Brady Quinn isn't going to get it unless the Notre Dame bias comes in.

Troy Smith is a beast. After last year he was pretty much foreshadowing his complete domination this year. I don't think it'll be hard to pick the Heisman this year.
I agree, this will be nowhere near a close race like last year was. Troy Smith is easily the number one candidate for the Heisman award.
Troy Smith..not a doubt in my mind..Adrian Peterson would of won it if he didnt get injured..hes such a beast

ESPN is trying to say Quinn is still in the race. He isn't. One thing that people forget is that Quinn plays all four quarters. Smith barely ever plays a full game and has missed many quarters (due to blow outs). In the BG game, Smith barely even played in the second half.

Not just ESPN, there is a whole media basis towards Notre Dame. Which is mainly why I hate 'em.

If They beat USC, they still got raped by Michigan, and if they lose, than they have 2 losses..So either way they're screwed
I know that this is a complete longshot, but I would love to see Notre Dame beat USC, Troy Smith win Heisman, and Notre Dame upset Ohio State in the National Championship. I know that this has like a 1% chance of happenning but the BCS rankings are funny sometimes...I mainly would love to see this happen because it would be almost identical to last year. A landslide in the Hesiman award and his team gets upset in the bowl game.
Its not impossible because regardless of what everyone thinks money always comes into play and I guarentee you that Notre Dame will pull in more of a profit considering its so popular it has ts own TV contract.
The impossible part of that idea is Notre Dame beating Ohio State. We tried that game last year, Ohio State won that to. Troy Smith out played Quinn. This year, Ohio State is better than they were last year, so I see Ohio State beating Notre Dame by more than 10 points if the game were to happen this year.
