Cool Sunny! I went to one of those here in AZ and it was awesome! I agree with you, Young Life is a really great experience. I went with my church though.

I'm old enough to think for myself, I know what I believe in.</div>See thats the problem with religion. I was nice I tried to give you some perspective, but you were too ignorant to hear it. That why people hate religion. Because of the hypocrites and small minds. I have no doubt that you were "touched" and good for you. But allow me to point out a few things about religion and the way these camps are run.Firstly a "meeting" or church. Gererally starts with some singing.... fast tempo, upbeat , making people happy and excited to be there, the speed of the music slowly but surely goes down until you are singing a slow repetitive song. Making everyone feel emotionl (much the same as nightclubs playing slow songs at the end of the night - where everyone "hooks up and slow dances)Then the preacher get up once everyone is sufficiently lulled and emotional. He starts off slow and preaches with an even voice, before long he is building up tempo and getting louder, he is soon screaming and everyone is feeling all brave and loud and "hallalouya" then he starts to pull it back, then as he is closing up the band plays some music in the backround - quiet and unobtrusive, most people wont even notice it- making the words of the preacher seem "magical" and every sentence seeems like a revalation. Then he will make an ultar call - asking for people to come up and "give them selves to Jesus" - people are all emotional from the music and the preaching and they go up feeling touched by god- they are really just touched by the emotion of the moment. ALL pentacostal and evangelistic churches use the same methods. quiet to loiud to quiet again- brings out the emotion. Now Sunny I dont care if you say "thats not what they do" or whatever. I am not saying it is wrong to believe All I am saying is to challenge what you are told. Ask questions- it will make you a better christian if you get the right answers. And if you dont then you are free.I believe in God. I dont believe in churches. They play these mental games on people, play with emotions and then when you ask them for answers they say "faith is why you should believe". There is plenty of scientific proof behind christ and the bible, they just dont bother to look it up. They are arrogant and hypocrites. Using people insecurities about the "afterlife" to profit. I am ashamed to say The bulk of my family are in the church. I believe and pray at home.

It's annoying.

But you are right on pretty much with that they do at the camp. We had Cabin time with the guys from the group I went with after each sermon, and we did question some of the things said. We did get some answers also. It was a great experience, I've never been to one of these camps, but by no means was it brainwashing.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Did you get laid?
